If you can punch all 190 pounds of your body weight which blockbuster did ,you punch as hard as any man. Did Ike have the ability to turn into his shots and create such leverage, no. Cheers.

That's right. Rocky Marciano invented leverage.

A bunch of Egyptians were waiting in the desert with just an idea for pyramids until the Marciano drove up in his IROC.

Let's watch some action with Ike using horrible punching form and getting zero leverage on his shots.

Seamus ike wouldn't be able to throw like that when the rock burst the blood vessels in his arms (which is totally different than bruising so shut it).

Another guy who's only read the myths about Byrd-Vitali and not seen the fight here LUFC :yep

I don't rate Byrd that highly myself but he would be top5 in most eras.

I'm used to **** like this from him. In his mind this is really a pro wlad thread

I agree and I reckon anyone who can be a top 5 mainstay is worthy of the title elite x

Indeed, Ike would probably need both arms amputated after a couple of rounds with the Marce.

I'd say Marciano got more leverage from his much smaller body. Ibeabuchi would need much less leverage to get as much power.

The thing is Ibeabuchi was more of a technical pressure boxer like Prime Holyfield than a slugger anyway. Short quick punches, athlete and extremely physically strong

So in my view, Ibeabuchi wouldn't just be winning this on size, he'd be picking Marciano apart with technically better boxing and those punches with the weight behind them pick Marciano about.

What people who haven't boxed don't realise is, boxers don't throw their biggest shots every punch but lighter punchers hurt much more from bigger men and push you back with the weight they have behind them. They also don't realise once a big man shoves a smaller man, he goes back and he loses his power in his punches.

Marciano hit as hard as an armor piercing bullet. Unless Ike was bullet proof he can't win. This is a fact.

I was roundly rebuked by Classicists for discussing my impressions of facing bigger foes and have refrained from discussing it since.

Even our Magna was accused of being a three fight veteran ham and egger by one of the astute posters on this thread.

So, let's leave actual experience in the ring out of the discussion. We are purely in the realm of daydreamersw here.

i don't think i've posted on this before but people may want to take into account that ike would outweigh rocky by about 50 lbs. ike eventually found chris byrd and rocky isn't exactly a cutie.

btw, i was never very high on ike

    wheres seamus?? ill get you.
rock would of ripped tua to bits on the inside
you can teach box but you cant teach mental strength and the will to never accept defeat
if rocks corner told him he had to end walcott in first round instead of 13 he could of done it
he never failed to win and he would find a way to defeat anybody....anybody
a cast iron mentality cannot be broken

beginning an argument with "lol" is a description of a man with big feet a red nose.
