Two of the most underrated LWs. How do you see this match going?
To me this would look like if two different entities of Sugar Ray Robinson fought each other: the hard hitting aggressive puncher version of SRR (Williams) against the smooth pure boxing version (Brown).

Williams was a better fighter, but I think Brown could pull off the upset. He had most of the tools that Willie Joyce troubled Williams with, good jab, good boxing skills, slippery movement, strong power in his own right. If they fought three times, I think Brown would take at least one win.

Funny to think Brown only turned pro 18 months after Williams, yet Ike is a boxing symbol of the 1940s and Brown is a symbol of the 1950s.

I think Brown could pull off the upset. This is a really good match up that I hadn't thought about before.

Did Sandy Saddler KO Joe Brown in an over the weight match?
