    Ike told me himself several times that he wanted no part of Ray Robinson. Ike struggled with welters big time. Fighting the greatest one of them all wouldn't be a good move.

    I saw both Ray Robinson and Ike Williams in their primes....
    It is obvious that Ike Williams wanted no part of the Welterwight Robby.
    He could have gotten that match at any time, and it would have been a sellout in the 1940s..Whatever Ike could do in the ring, the bigger Robinson could do better, and Williams and his braintrust knew that..
    Both at 135, pickem fight...
