I prefer HBO , but I care more about the action in the ring than the guys talking about the action outside the ring.

    no HBO boxtats +1
    no Jim Lampley +1
No 70 year old Lederman in between rounds +1
Showtime w/ Tarver -1 but probably wont be there.

so I am feeling Showtime > HBO
Hey I got it. Lets all email Showtime and tell them to hire George Foreman.
Would love to see him back and that would be spitting on HBO ...

I think Alan Green needs to retire and go work for showtime.
He knew his **** and made a really good commentator.

Screw that. I get tired of HBO riding Pac the way they do. Bang, Bang, Bang, this is the Manny Pacquiao ..... Also Kellerman saying he is on Sugar Ray Robinson's level. I prefer unbiased announcers. I'm not saying that Showtime isn't biased because Tarver was definitely biased when talking about Hopkins and Roy Jones. They are definitely less biased than HBO though.

    Who cares?

Showtime and HBO are about as good as each other, and both add minimal extra value to a fight, although having the colonel on the undercard will be good.

Most true boxing fans will enjoy the Showtime broadcast better.
......they dont hang on fighters nuts as much as HBO shamelessly does.

For those of you who have only been treated to HBO boxing PPV, watch, listen, and learn, the Showtime crew will actually educate you on what and why things are unraveling the way they are.:deal:deal:deal

ok after reading the coments i must admit i do agree about the bias hbo tends to exibit and my love for there team is 90% nastalgic reasons
(grew up with these guys) but with that said i think most of you will agree with me when i say there is no compairistion when it comes to PRODUCTION QUILTY as i feel HBO DOMINATES in said catogory
i just see showtime as a SMALL step above a espn friday night fights production in those regards. and quit frankly it dose take me out of the event a littile bit note i said the event not the fight. what says you?

PS. i do fu#*ing HATE ledderman

For ****'s sake.Do you not believe in comma's,periods or capital letters?:patsch
In any event,I agree that Sho cannot compete with HBO in production value, nor in the commentating department. What they will get is an enthusiastic team with an opportunuty to prove they can be as good as HBO.It will be interesting.
