I'm going to say it now, I don't know if Beterbiev

Yes they fought. Yes it was 25-24 for Beterbiev. no it was not in a favorable region to Beterbiev. They had a sparing match that was in beterbievs region that is often as refered to the second time he beat him but it was disputed. Was only sparring anyway so doesn't count for anything. The one time they fought to 25-24 was actually at the 2007 russian nationals.

Kovalev is too smart for beterbiev. He would set traps for him and take him apart.

Beterbiev was out for a year with shoulder surgery I believe so I'll give him a pass in terms of judgement. He just looked open last night, but it is a confidence thing. I'll reserve my judgement until he's fully back.

haha based on beating him in 2007? and then "getting the better of him" in a sparing match in beterbievs home town

Honestly, he needs a Bika or Chilemba type that can give him rounds at this point.

He's fought 30 rounds in his entire pro career. Forget deep water- we haven't gotten to the part of the pool where his feet can't touch yet. There's going to reach a point where he can't blow every single fighter he faces out, and it'll be interesting to see how he adapts to that.

Kovalev will just box normally and a casual punch will land that doesnt look too powerful and beterbiev will go down like a sack of potatoes get up and go down from the next punch that's not a jab
OVER. doesnt take your best shot to ko him.
