Bowe would destroy him if Lewis tries to brawl and engage with him

I honestly didnt like bowe because of how incredibly short his career was and the fact he didnt fight many of he rated contenders and belt holders from his. What we did get to see was impressive tho, and one thing you cant take away from him was his heart and chin. Holyfield had a nasty left hook, it wasnt a bone shattering morrison or tua level power obviously, but it was crisp, accurate, had good leverage and snap, etc. As for golota, come on, bowe was completely washed at that point and was hit by like 20 low blows throughout the fight. Hard to judge someones chin when theyre getting fouled every 30 seconds.

He was one of only 4 hw champions to not be koed, that says a lot. Lewis might have changed that, we'll never know. Again his resume is limited but there is absolutely nothing on film which indicates he had a weak or even average chin. Id give him at least a 7/10, if not higher.

What other HW with a good chin did Holyfield damage that badly with a single shot to the head without softening them up first?

    No it isnt.

If it was, then Tua would have beaten him for example.

Nor did Eddie Futch, which is more than enough for me.

I don't think either one of them would do particularly well with one another's power.

Yes it is, two losses he has is due to his chin not being good enough to take solid flush punch to the chin.
Bowe doesn't have that mark in his career.

Bowe didn't defeat the ridiculous array of punchers Lewis did. Bowe got hammered two times by a good not very good fighter.

Shallow thinking on your part. If Lewis was half as bad as you imply many a puncher would have beat him but he belted heaps of them. He beat a who's who of punchers. Punchers that Bowe never faced.

    Come on

Bowe had mediocre defense. He couldn't have made it as far as he did if he wasn't highly durable.

Guys who take a lot of shots and go through wars (He had three with Holyfield) reach a point where they fade overnight. This was the case with Bowe and Golota punished him. Still, Bowe took two beatings and lasted long enough for Golota to be DQd twice.

In his 1992-94 absolute prime I am highly confident Bowe could take Lewis's power. He might get dropped, but it's gonna take a lot of shots to stop him.

At the same time, Bowe's straight right should find a home on Lewis fairly easily, if Lewis employs the style he showed during that time period.

It would likely be a war, and Bowe proved he could absorb a lot of punishment.

    Riddick Bowe was NEVER KOd.

Lennox Lewis was stopped twice with one shot.

Yes, there is a chance that Bowe couldn't take Lewis' power. There is a bigger chance, Lewis couldn't take Bowe's power.

    Buster Douglas

What other HW did McCall and Rahman blow out with a single shot?

Where did i say anything about Bowe not being able to take it?

I mentioned he didn't actually take on the punchers Lewis did.

I would accept Bowe faded quickly, but not just due to wars.

My point was Lewis isn't going to fold against any old puncher. He beat oodles of them.

It still would have been interesting to see Bowe against such an array.

The fact is Lewis pumped Bowe at the olympics. The fact is Bowe threw away the title rather than face Lewis.

Now there is more a chance this was Futchs doing than Bowes but that makes it even more notable.

Lewis had the wood on him for mine - at any point.

What about Ruddock, Tua, Bruno and a dozen others? Plenty of single shot hammers there.

Punchers who were able to land flush on his chin - Mccall and Rahman, knocked him out.
Bowe maybe did not face many punchers like Lewis did, but those he did, like Cooper, Hide, Golota did test his chin and there is nothing that suggest that his chin is not obviously better than Lewis's chin.

If you think he beat Tua, Ruddock and a dozen + others without taking heavy blows there's not much more for me to say.
