Im just flipping ****. On a serious note : This fight was meaningless to me, but Broner having fought DeMarco in his first fight is huge and makes up for this one. You are right he was at least a top 10 guy and that does matter in the big picture. But this fight or win Imo is nothing to brag about. Rees was practically a no hoper (imo) and the height difference was comically bad, and while that is irrelevent to his ranking, its relivent to how much stock I put in this matchup and win. But like I said, the Marco win makes up for this, also like you say it was his 2nd fight in the division, against a top 10 guy. I kinda viewed this as a stay busy showcase fight, I hope Broners next opponent is a live one again and Im sure it will be. My post was about someone responding about Broner making a practical no hoper his *****.... as if it really means something. It doesnt.
Broner has a good sturdy chin, that's for sure! He wasn't rocked at all. I would also like to see Rees fight on TV again because as Lampley put's it best, he's a cocky little Welshman.
Funniest moment was Broner deadpan clowning like he was actually doing something baddass in clowning a midget at the same time that he was beating him up. Very understated.
lol that little guy made me a fan. How could you not root for him in that fight. He was schooling Broner for a couple of rounds with every disadvantage.
Question: Do you think Rees was actually waiting for the ref to break them when Broner landed that wicked body shot? Looked that way to me.
