In two fights between theseATG s, is there any room for doubt who the winner is?.
Would the two fights be split, or one sided for who you think wins?

Would they be classic s, maybe even need for a rubber match?

Carlos Monzon liked to fight in Europe, places like Monte Carlo, Monaco, Paris, France, and Rome, Italy, the one fight he had in the U.S on June 30 1975, the taxes ate him alive, so he never returned. A lot of foreign fighters did not like to fight here often because of that. Roy was much better at 175 lbs.

Jones decision for me. Surreal speed and reflexes get him home in a fight where he has to be switched on all the way.

    I like Jones.
Not sure even Carlos figures out the guy at middle.

I'll say this: the longer the fight goes on, the better for Monzon. He was a smart, accumulative damage type fighter, and though I suspect he'd be flustered by RJJ's speed and unorthodoxy at first, given enough time I think he'd make the damage build up and by the late rounds Jones would be in trouble. Now, whether he'd make the late rounds is another question, but my belief is that he would. Monzon's tactics were calculated to disrupt and muffle the attack abilities of his opponents, and speed can be dealt with by creating space, and tying up, which is what Monzon did. This would have been more tactical and strategic a fight than most people think, unless of course RJJ caught him with something big in the early rounds and blitzed hell upon him, which is also a possibility.

Monzon is another of these boxers that these sad little people on these boxing forums overrated. Monzon was a solid guy show spent most of his years fighting in South America. The few none South American guys he faced were no where nearly as good as Roy Jones. Jones Jr at middleweight batters and stops Monzon in the mid rounds if not before.

Well I won't say Roy couldn't win , but he sure didn't batter and stop Bernard Hopkins and he rates well below Carlos Monzon at middleweight. Roy was fading late in his win over B-Hop and in a 15 round fight with Monzon? He'll fade even more in those 3 extra rounds.

Just what we need to enhance the forum...a "doopapoopy". We lose a McVey, a John Garfield and a Bert Bienstock and get a "doopapoopy instead....

Roy does fluster Monzon for a bit, but Monzon is too strong and too smart and his granite chin goes unfazed. Late Stoppage for Monzon he gets to Royś chin and cracks it like an egg.
