chemical creation?? roy tested positive in one fight for something you could reportedly buy at the store and now he cheated his whole career according to some. if roy was taking steroids, why would he stop? he had to pass many drug tests in his career. that logic makes no sense. why stop if you're getting away with it?

we really don't know if roy or anyone else was clean. there's lots of ways to cheat.

He was not tested for steroids his whole career that is a lie. His positive was also covered up for three years. Other positives may have been covered up as well. Ripped fuel could be purchased over the counter, but there is no proof that is what he tested positive for only his story of events. Kind of like Barry bonds said he took flax seed oil. Roger Clemens took b12 injections. Etc. Jones tested positive that is what we do know. Do you believe Jones was a steroid user??

read my post. i said jones had been tested many times in his career, not his whole career. it was reported he tested positive for andro which was sold over the counter at the time.

    http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/boxing/news/story?id=2782402

you want to try and speculate anymore about other cover ups? :p i'm not sure what reporters and commissions have to gain buy covering up drug stories about roy when these stories are reported about other fighters.

sure, everyone's got an excuse when they get popped but roy's was reportedly for andro. besides testing positive for something you could buy at the store, there's no evidence roy used anything illegal on any other occasion no matter what lies you'll read on these boards.

my favorite was when some were claiming that jones was busted in the hall fight by a pilot drug testing program that started in 2001. the problem is that the hall fight was in 2000.

haha! you must have trouble reading. i just posted besides andro there's no evidence, so no.

on the other hand, we know calzaghe likes cocaine, which is illegal. this was found out after his career was over but maybe they're are some cover ups from some of his fights. :)

You were ducking the question. Since Jones tested positive for a steroid of course he was using. Wow. You can believe he never used for another fight, I think you would be in a minority in that view or maybe his fan club, but that's your prerogative.

Don't know what bashing Calzaghe has to do with anything? The last act of a desperate poster is to knock another fighter who is not the subject of topic. But, but but Calzaghe did coke after he was retired- pathetic.

For the record Roy Jones got busted with steroids in his system. It forever taints his legacy. Just like Ben Johnson, Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens. Doesn't matter if they used once, used a few times, or whole career.

Not hating on Roy, he did this to himself. I like Roy but it's easy to see when you're dealing with an Non objective fan boy.

it's your prerogative to ignore facts and what's been reported as well. you've already made up your mind about roy. good for you.

the calzaghe post was in jest. that's what the little smiley face at the end of it means. i was making fun of you and how you were trying to speculate that jones may have had more cover ups. i was speculating on calzaghe. i make a statement like that, in jest, and you call it pathetic. you make a statement like that, and you feel you have a valid point. that's being a hypocrite (and pathetic).

you're comparing roy to ben johnson, roger clemens and barry bonds. roy reportedly tested positive for andro. at the time, that was legal to buy over the counter. you are saying this is the same as two major league players, who got to hide behind a union, and still went to great lengths to try and mask their cheating. bonds was caught up in balco and clemens had his own hgh trainer. bonds is also a convicted felon. it doesn't take a very smart person to distinguish between these cases, but you like to bunch them all together. that's your deal.

ben johnson got busted at the same olympics that roy got cheated at in '88. i'm pretty sure roy had to be drug tested there. i'm sure you feel there was a big cover up.

and as for you saying at the end of your post that you're not hating on roy, ok man, whatever.

Roid Jones got caught with astronomically high test levels for the Richard Hall fight and said it was because he took a supplement from gnc:roll:.
He obviously juiced his brains out to put on 25 pounds of muscle within a year to fight Ruiz. He clearly was a steroid abuser.
Calzaghe would have beaten Roy whenever. He would never be able to deal with Joe's ferocious pace of 12 rounds.

Easily one of the most overrated fighters on this forum. Had a guy arguing with me before that Jones would beat David Haye at CW:lol:

 FUNNY READING A POST FROM YOU SAYING " HE CAUSE TROUBLE TO JONES" LMAO YOU KNOW LIKE ME THAT MOORER AND SPINKS WOULD DESTROY JONES, ROY WAS NOT EVEN A NATURAL LHW, HE WAS A 168 POUNDER. SPINKS AND PRINCIPALLY MOORER HAD CRUISER FRAME, BOB FOSTER WOULD KO JONES AND CHARLES WAS NOT A KILLER PUNCHER BUT IF HE COULD FIND ROY HE WOULD STOP HIM

I favour a couple over Jones.

    Tyson, Lewis, Liston etc.

I wouldn't put any money against him though.

I am tempted to go with this...but, beating Hopkins at anytime is an accomplishment and really what put him on the map with me was his dismantling Lacy. Not that Lacy was great, and honestly I was waiting for someone to take him apart anyway, but, it was how he beat him. It is up there on the list of greatest boxing displays in recent memory. No one expected that. Beating Jones and Hopkins proved that he was not a fluke, and he was pretty past his prime as well.

Still I am OK with people calling him overated in an all-time sense. Those Hopkins and Jones were not the animals from years past.

Ezzard Charles at 175 beats all other 175'er including Roy Jones.

Nice response. You should change your name to the "slow count." It'd be more fitting.
