@Redbeard7 alias NEETzschean alias Shortround alias...

Andy Ruiz is not in Joshua's story in the period 28.XI 2015 - 1.XII 2018.
And that period is discussed on this topic :)

The idea is wilder only has to be better than joshua for 1 minute while joshua is better than wilder but isn't good enough to be better than him for every minute.
Not even fury was that good. Luckily he had inhuman powers of recovery

It's about who was the best at the time, not "resume during this period". What happened before and after has bearing on who is considered the best in retrospect. Hence people now believe that Wilder would have beaten Joshua in 2018, whereas at the time they favoured Joshua.

We are basing our opinions on who actually achieved what during that timeframe. AJ had a fantastic run and unified belts beating some notable names. Wilder beat Ortiz and did nothing else worth mentioning.

I believe Wilder most likely would have beat AJ but they didn't even fight so Wilder doesn't get boosted ahead of AJ based on opinions of what could have happened if they did fight.

    Very clearly, AJ.

It’s so obviously his plane, he simply cannot accept that the majority of fans disagree with him (for good reason as his logic is utterly warped).

Simply cannot agree with this, Fury lost clearly for me and was given a gift.

Good thing he knocked out McDermott in the rematch then.

    "AJ had a fantastic run"

"I believe Wilder most likely would have beat AJ"

So all of Joshua's "fantastic achievements" mean nothing in the matchup. That does seem to be consensus.

People pretend that Joshua has "the best resume" (whatever that means) but do not believe he was the best fighter, or they'd pick him to beat Wilder and they might even pick AJ-conqueror Ruiz to beat Wilder (which they used to for a while).

Just giving my opinion on who would win head to head. I believe Wlad that lost to AJ would have beat Wilder. Styles make fights but our opinions on hypothetical matches are worthless.

AJ achieved much more than Wilder in that timespan and only a deluded fool would disagree with this.

This has always been my sentiment. AJ had the resume, Wilder had the defenses head to head I always favored Wilder. Still believe so.

It’s like Errol Spence and Terence Crawford to be honest. For the longest Errol beat the much better WWs while Crawford beat over faded or Jose Benavidez type guys. Errol’s WW resume was by far better but when they fought Crawford had his easiest fight at WW. Styles makes fights.

Why bother making a poll referring to a specific past period when you're just going to bring up points after that fact to try and prove your point? Talk about shifting the goal posts...

"Styles make fights but our opinions on hypothetical matches are worthless."

The question is "who was the best over this time period" not "who had the best body of work in terms of names beaten over this time period".

If I did more polls I'd probably find that most would pick 2008 Vitali to beat 2008 Wlad (and everyone else in the division), despite Vitali having no body of work since 2004, with Wlad being 8-0 over the same period. So (assuming I'm correct) they think or at least claim that 2008 Vitali was better than Wlad, whether they would also say that Wlad was better based on his 2005-2008 body of work or not.

It may also be that Crawford (who was at least 60-40 to win when the fight happened) was better than his resume suggested (perhaps partly due to being avoided) and/or three belt champ was Spence not as good as his resume (in terms of names beaten on paper) suggested.
