And even that was a half-fit Williams. Cleve's fists were still aching from turning HOF legends like Alex Miteff and Roger Rischer into highlight reels!

that's enough Berlenbach. I've got a heavybag that can't take out all the punishment i dish out, and I'm liable to use you as a substitute. I don't hear any objections from my heavybag.

Which is not backed up with anything. Braddock is underrated sometimes but he's not close to Sharkey, both in terms of resume and ability.

Braddock looked much much better against Louis than Sharkey did. (Yes yes Sharkey was past his prime and Braddock too ...)

Beating Wills and Godfrey shows Sharkey was a very good fighter,an inconsistent one true ,but when he was," on," he was a force to be reckoned with.On his night he would have given Tunney a very interesting evening, imo.

Sharkey was going to the gym just to keep his weight down when he fought Louis, he was no longer a fighter as we understand the term.

Braddock was the champion, Sharkey came out of retirement and won only 2 of his last 7 fights. Come on, saying that both were past their primes is not giving us full story.

Sharkey did much better against Loughran, who made Braddock look like a fool. All three fighters were in their primes in 1929 and Sharkey knocked Loughran out quickly.

Champion or not braddock was in his end.
I imagine that braddock would handle easily the cans who did beat sharkey(both guys had bad moments in their career cause personal problems too). Prime Sharkey lost against a shot dempsey by ko.

Braddock lost much more fights, a lot against worse opponents than Sharkey. This argument doesn't make any sense...

Prime Sharkey lost to Dempsey due to illegal low blow. He was winning the fight until then, have you seen the tape?

Poor Ingo and Leon both got lost in the land of Sharkey, never to be found, maybe they will be found in the land of Tua. Lol

Of course that i watched the fight. Knocked out by a shot dempsey.
And you are boring like hell with sharkey, he was a mediocre champion and period, stop replying about it like a parrot

He was knocked out due to a low blow. Is it fair win?
