Fair - southpaw point taken, I suppose I overlooked that by a long stretch. That being said, Pernell was still able to negate a lot of JCC's inside work and I can only envisage any version of Duran, Dejesus mastery through to Montreal bettering him at all the ranges.

Faster feet, faster hands, better defence and everything else. Julio is a monster with skill - Duran is a bigger monster with greater skill.

A reasonable view. Do you see this as being a cake walk for Duran ?

    I'll agree with that 100%
Personally that's where I saw him beating Lewis if they had fought.
Bowe was so good at in fighting. He fought in close like a much smaller man.

Wasn’t Baby Alberto Az meant to have won there bouts? There’s no film but he was an inside fighter who was supposed to have won.

I don’t know anything about their fights but if he got the better of Sammy fighting inside, he was a rare bird.

I’d say Baby Az was a killer and a freak of nature so yeah.

No, Chavez's chin, IQ and skill means that Duran has to negotiate and overcome.

It will be competitive but I do think that Duran would get the better of most exchanges and take away JCC's rhythm. I see Duran's ability to trap arms whilst having one arm free to work the body and head when in close, as well as the way he would roll the punches and counter to the belly, solar plexus and chin with hooks and uppercuts, taking their toll. I think from rounds 10 - 12, Duran starts to completely take over and has JCC looking lost.

I reckon it's a UD, anywhere from 11-4 to 9-6, not a whitewash but absolutely clear as to who had the better work and the best of the exchanges. Maybe, I'm overrating Roberto, I dunno, but I cannot envisage how Chavez beats him - not at all!
