so the reason your exposing cintron is because?

did you get fired or something?

no offense but i dont see why a trainer would come to a forum with professionals personal info

Not every fighter has the mental fortitude continue on after a guy can take their shot.

He still could beat Williams, Cintron does have power, and that's the great equalizer in boxing.

This last fight doesn't bode well for him though, but it's boxing, we gotta let the fights play out.

I don't buy that he wasn't hurt by Margarito. I saw that fight many times and there were moments in that fight that Cintron's legs were buckled from punches. Hell he even went down on a solid uppercut and some work along the ropes.

Sure his spirit was likely broken, but Margarito was also building up damage on him. Maybe he didn't prepare properly, but the fact that Margarito could take his punches and deliver enough steam back seems he just has Cintron's number.

And I won't argue that he sometimes seems like a guy with no hunger. It's pretty obvious actually. He better starve himself before he fights Williams, because Williams is very hungry.

Because I invested 10's of thousands of dollars in him and 6 years of my life. Because everytime him and Manny Steward are interviewed they always take a shot at us. Even in the forums there was post after post about how much better Kermit is under Manny. If he is going publicly insult Marshall and I then I am going to defend us. And to do so all I have to do is tell the truth. To take a 19 year old kid who never boxed and run him to 24-0 22 kos is a helluva an accomplishment in my book. We did a heck of a job training him, guiding his career, and giving him guidance in life as well. There was a point where we were like family. That is until women started entering his life.
Everything I have stated in my earlier posts is 100% truths. He most certainly did box Bernard to a standstill. 24 rounds. And like I said, he certainly did quit against lesser fighters. Yusef Mack, Andrew Lewis, and Erik Mitchell. He also dropped Kassim Ouma in the Poconos. It all came down to his mental state at that particular time. If his personal life was right and he had no outside destractions then he was gonna be hell for anyone to box. Problem is you never knew which Kermit was gonna show up.

We are. Trying to get Hasim Rahman back to a title. I started working with him 6 months ago when he weighed 308 lbs. He is making steady progress. But its hard to get a guy in shape and prepare for a fight at the same time. esspecially when a guy has alot of weight to lose. But now that the weight it down I can start to focus more on getting him in fight condition instead of taking weight off.
As for Manny and Kermit, yeah it wouldnt surprise me at all if Kermit gets rid of Manny. There are alot of used up people in Kermits past. Once they serve there purpose in his life he moves on quite easily.

I would like to say thank you to those of you in the forum that had some positive things to say about Marshall and I. We have really taken a public relations beating from Kermit and Manny, and it was nice to hear some positive words from some of you guys. I enjoy the forums because I can answer questions that fans can do nothing more than speculate on. So anyway, thanks again.

    Wow man, that sounds bizarre.
Doesn't really sound like Kermit has it in him to be a long time world champion.

Indeed, and one you deserve all credit for. To be honest I don't like Steward. Other people build a great fighter, and he takes all the credit while he basically destroys their work. Look at Klitschko's previous trainer [SIZE=-1]Fritz Sdunek. He barely gets any credit for his work. Meanwhile, Steward turned him into some one dimensional jab-n-grab monster and gets called the best trainer of all.

This one's for you :happy :good

Pre-Margarito I remember the nuthuggers giving Cintron the hype. In the past I had never seen any indication that he was ready for the kind of intensity that Margarito was sure to put upon him. The total breakdown was a bit of a surprise, an indication to me that he lacks a competitors ego. The revelation that he would quit against difficult sparring partners is another indication that Cintron has a limited future in boxing. How far into his career did he first quit against a sparring partner?

When I say he quit in sparring I need to clarify and be more specific. He didnt stop sparring and take his gloves off. He would just submit. Go into a shell and stop fighting back. To put it in perspective go rewatch the last round or two of his fight with Margarito. Look at his face when he was looking at us in the corner. He looks for a way out.
I dont recall when it happened, but the thing was he might do it one day, then the next week he might box Bernard to a standstill, or drop Kassim Ouma. So we tried to stay positive and chalk it up to a bad day, but Marshall always suspected he lacked th heart to dig deep, but even Marshall began to believe in him when he dug in for the fight with Reid. Unfortunately our wirst fears about him turned out to be true.
