I’ve had this telegram for a while but just now have fully deciphered its content. Undated but 1925 would sound right prior to the 1926 contract: “Pay wire received. Cannot understand so much complication. Understand I signed only one contract that was with Fitzsimmons and I don’t intend on signing anymore if they don’t go through. Ok, I consider contract broken the way they are doing isn’t business and I am through stalling with them. It’s either put up the money or it’s off. Furthermore my contract is with Fitzsimmons and him only and I owe no one else answers. Jack Dempsey”
