Yeah, he's a real philosopher, wonder Harvard never hired him. I wouldn't call a raping scumbag and obvious societal misfit knowledgeable about "human social dynamics." My favorite Tyson interview was this this one. One word pretty much summed it up: http://youtube.com/watch?v=C8S7WH2wico Genius Mike missed his true calling as a chiropractor...or perhaps a rocket scientist...oops, Tyson himself put that one to rest here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=QS-MLhpSV5o&feature=related
Not my fault that you havent seen him pal... You probably havent seen him because he has either been living in Las Vegas , Arizona or Ohio.. I trained with him , Leroy Seales, Stan Allen , Ritchie Giachetti and John Brey in Vegas for the second Holyfield fight, then spent a lot of time with him , for later fights (Orlin Norris, Franz Botha and fights in the UK..) You may live in Bed Stuy or any place near where Mike was raised.. But you better look harder for Mike , he is rarely there these days mate... God bless..
Right. If this really happened, which I doubt it did, you gotta feel for the poor guy who was merely doing his job.
He was not in Vegas training for Holy he was in Deerfield Beach Florida. I trained with him for the Francis fight, and he was a total douche bag the entire time. He had no interest in boxing whatsoever. It was like being around a spoiled 3 year old.
For the second Holyfield fight he was at the golden gloves Gym in Las Vegas.. In fact the day he was supposed to fight the 2 nd fight he pulled out with a cut, the cut was tiny and Mike ended up getting married to Monica.. I was there with the sparring for those last few days.. Jeff Fenech was there for a few days too.. He was indeed very selfish but once sparring started he was quite motivated.. But you are right to some extent , he failed to show on a few too many days.. Florida...mmm Dunno where u were at but for that second fight we werein Vegas for three weeks prior and he never left vegas.. Who are you, because i was also around him for the francis fight and the savarese fight in Glasgow Scotland.. did you fly with him to Manchester?? Do you know Sterling Macpherson ?
I like to think we may have an option on Holyfield.. we dont know that from the horses mouth , but i do know that they have talked about fighting us in the US sometime in April.. but i will be sure to let you know.. Friday just is very happy to fight almost anyone.. He likes the feeling of winning again... After all the years of sparring with Klitschko, Tyson and Lennox he is becoming more confident of beating these fellers now.. He is a very contented fighter now.. Take care..
You wanna know something , i honestly like the idea of the Holyfield fight, but i approach that fight with caution even now.. I think he is very solid minded.. knows whathe wants and is hard to beat if he sets his brain against it.. Its just probably me looking too far ahead.. I'd like the rematch with Ibragimov.. But we can't have everything.. I would pure kill for Chagaev.. he was jelly in Fridays hands in the gym on a few days..
Yes I know Mcpherson, but for the Francis fight he trained in south Miami about 30 miles south of the Holyfield training site. The second Holyfield fight he had most of his training in Deerfield close to Kings main offices, because King wanted to keep close tabs on Tyson, because Tyson was trying to get away from him. There was an incident one day, where Tysons bodyguards, beat this guy up because he wouldnt leave the gym parking lot. No fans could get near him or the gym without Kings say. They asked the guy to leave and he didnt, so they drug him out of his car beat his ass, and called the cops, and said he was threatening Tyson. At that point it was pure chaos around Tyson. When he was with Tommy Brooks it was calmer, but Tyson didnt want to be there. I dont remember seeing Fenech around for the second Holyfield fight, just Mckinley, Bright and Giachetti.
Holyfield would be a good choice. They have similar sort of styles and Holy is far less dangerous now than he was even several years ago. But a win over Holyfield is still a win over a name guy. I doubt either Sultan or Chagaev would get anywhere near Friday now. Unless one of them loses soon and is looking for a comeback fight.
