    Just back from the McCloskey fight. Excellent venue and really good crowd @2000.

    McCloskey was class, but the pick of the card was Acosta who was on another level - a real world class performance. I could watch him all night - wonderful skills

    Maybe, I was in Scotland and only got back as the programme ended but from what ive seen of him he does a bit, not proper slaps, but not punching with the knuckle anyway.

    it was a knuckle problem from what i remember dont think thwy shid be with cruz either tbh

    Acosta has this diagonal combo going on - he throws a right overhand and follows up with a left uppercut. I think the right overhand shot, because it looks so unorthodox might look like a slap but it causes a lot of damage - so I think it is a lot meatier than what it looks....He whizzes in shots from all angles and is so quick minded to counter when required, and can change to another arsenal of shots with ease. Absolute quality performance tonight.:good

    Is Cruz based in Ireland? I find it odd that they came here but didnt get a trainer from here.

    cruz has been based here since the 80s he trained a few olympic boxing teams mate :good

    he trained my trainer kieran joyce fot the olympics in 88 ;)

    Really? Wow. You train down in Cork yeah? I used to do a bit with Michael Carruth myself.

    yup sunnyside only gone back now after 2 years of being a fat injured lazy **** :lol::lol:
    pretty cool they weve had spike and the cubans up training a few times

    Yeah cant do it too much lately either I have to see a physio over me ****ed up knees. Is spike fighting anytime soon?

    it was my hand got in a fight in a nite club and ****ed up my right paw everytime i punched a bag my hand came out, and dont have a clue tbh
