I can't recall the last time I saw an amateur boxer in Ireland actually go to the trouble of putting out a press release for anything.:think

A certain talent agency has in your name so!

It's a funny one, I agree with the defensive style of am. boxing being a little bit boring, where points can be scored and then defended to the hilt behind a tight guard. This limits the entertainment factor and rewards caution (naturally it also rewards the ability to score, and to defend)

But would it to be wrong to suggest that a more tactical approach, along those lines, was the very thing that saw Paddy win a gold at the Euros? So if the 'boring' style brings success, there's a bit of a catch.

I went for Timlin to win it outright. I honestly think he has a chance. A light weight he will be able to work for all of the 9 rounds if need be. While the heavier of the lads will find it hard to be all action which is what this will be all about. I know 1 punch will win it in some of the fights.

Watching Tyrone McCullagh would give you a heart attack.
The boy has been my highlight of an otherwise quite average tournament which has been riddled with appalling scoring. I find myself supporting whoever India are boxing. I've heard of "anyone but England" but now its "anyone but India" :deal
