It'll be after the summer, everyone disappears so its hard to organise anything.
might get on the blower to some GAA or sports clubs about using their facilities.

Young Andy has to focus on the fight at hand, and only the fight at hand in future. No more bull**** from Steward about Pavlik or Wright. Lee needs a string of learning fights to become a more rounded boxer, only then should he be thinking of title fights.I still think Lee can be our best chance of securing a world title.:deal

He is a junior welter weight and likes to throw a left hook. The kid is on the olympic team so he obviously has some talent although it says he has only been fighting for a few years. For those who have been around the game for awhile, do you think ameteur success has much impact or influence on a pro career? I understand it builds experience but from what i observed the ameteur and pro ranks seem like night and day. Thoughts?

A good amateur background is always preferable, but if you turn pro to late, it can be a hinderance,to many amateur bad habits can spoil your development as a professional. But Ithink this guy is turning pro at the right age, and if he is handled right can do ok.And as fra said, maybe he will have the appeal of a Micky Ward, if not the style.

I thought Andy's comments in this article came across as sincere and forth right. To put things in perspective Pavlik at 24 was still fighting nododies. Steward should not have filled Andy's head with all the BS about being ready for a title fight. I hope young Andy has it straight now and comes back strong.
