Thanks for advice:good Your're like myself, I head to most Republic of ireland away games. I was at the Armenia and Slovakia games. Will have to work on the girlfriend to persuade her to go to Cologne though.
Id consider a trip to Cologne. Never been there but had a couple nights in Dusseldorf before Klitschko vs Chagaev and really enjoyed it. Based ourselves in a great little Korean bar and lived off German beer and Korean whisky ( horrible stuff ). Might be time to head over again
I hate to burst the bubble about not buying a train ticket. I had a run in with a German Robocop on a train last September in Munich. I was on my way back to the airport and he started a row because I hadn't scanned my ticket properly. He ended up getting his tazer out when I dared him to call me english one more time. It was all quite interesting.
Being called English haha. When I was out there, I gave up correcting people that I was Irish, not English. McLaughlin's bar in Dusseldorf was a good spot. That and the Corkonian in Cologne near the Dom [cathedral] were great bars. Does anyone know if they're still there?
I think I may have been in Mclaughlins Ardy. Is it on the same street as a big theatre? The bar im talking about had a CSC there as well. It was an Irish name but I cant remember it
Can't remember a big Theatre, but it was a long time ago, things might have changed a quare bit since then, and besides I was well oiled most of the time I was there. I watched the second Benn/Eubank contest in another "Irish" bar in Dusseldorf. That was some night, the bar was full of English men singing national front songs. Suffice to say myself and my buddy Sean never spoke much that night, incase our Belfast accents brought the wrong attention.
Lads nothing to do with boxing but a friend of mine is selling 4 tickets to the fa cup semi final in wembley Utd v city (utd end) he's looking for 200 each or 4 for 700
whats the face value on them? Sounds very expensive. Is that the day of Khan vs Mccloskey or the day after? Im not interested in the tickets by the way, would rather sit with Maggie Thatcher than a load of united fans
It's the day after the fight , I'm not sure of the face value , he's going of a couple of I sites were there going from220stg-350
It's hard to believe an Irish fighter is fighting for a real world title in two weeks, such is the lack of enthusiasm I have for the bout. If Khan wants to end it early, he will. I'll get crucified for saying this but................could be another Salita job.
