has he turned southpaw before in fights? I wouldn't claim to be an expert on fighters switching stance but from my experience it's generally done from a position of weakness and sometimes out of desperation
after watching ringside and sky ports news last night I have to say fair play to sky sports. They could have just swept it under the carpet but they still gave it top billing. Just shows that they really were interested in the fight and Team Khan made a balls of it. As for the actual fight as we get closer Im finding it increasingly difficult to see it going past 4 rounds
I'm going to go out on a limb here and say something that I am sure will result in awfull abuse but feck it... Not many people would have given Fitzy much of a chance against Belghecham... granted, the stoppage was premature but you have to give him credit for walking the walk and coming through. We know Andy Lee has been in a lot of keep busy fights of late so is a Lee - Fitzy bout really that unlikely? The general consensus on here is that Lee hasn't improved tremendously since he fought Vera in 2008, if you agree with that opinion then its reasonable to assume that he hasn't improved greatly since he fought Jason McKay in 2007... Lee was in control of that fight but from memory McKay stayed in there for about 6 or 7 rounds and might the fight competitive at the very least. I can't remember the Lee- Healy fight that well, I had **** seats in the Point but again Healy stayed in there for 4 rounds. Fitzy has beaten Healy and McKay was a solid fighter who did well against mostly journeyman opposition and in my opinion he's not much better than Fitzy. I'm not saying the fight should happen and I'm not saying Fitzy deserves the fight but I reckon it could happen and I reckon Fitzy is good enough to at least give the crowd there money's worth. If you think about it, it would probably sell out the stadium/ UL and it might even get on RTE, Fitzy's collection of belts might be sufficient to market it to the public.. The Herald done an article on him being a world champion not so long ago. From Lee's point of view, it would keep him ticking over till he fights another contendor and it's a handy homecoming fight in front of his Irish fans (the kind of one Amir Khan is supposed to be having Saturday night). Looking forward to your comments....
