    Back to the Worlds;
    Barnes can make it, Conlon can make it, so can Nevin, and Ward. I'd back that four.
    David Oliver would be better than 50/50 as would Moylette/Hickey. O'Neill's Euro championship worries me but he should make it too. Might be tough for Egan and Sheehan with only 6 to go but with luck they have live chances. Hard to say at 69, anybody that came out on top of Sheehan, Nolan, O'Reilly, O'Reilly, McLoughlin, JJ Joyce, Brabazon, Gallagher and Donnelly and the rest has to have a chance but is that Sheehan, Nolan or McLoughlin. Jeez it's some team if the BS would only end. Only Cuba and Russia would have ten real live contenders, the IABA should sit back, congratulate themselves as they have played a major part in getting this to happen but now is the time to let their baby make it's own mark.
    Let it go.

    What is the record for the amount of Irish medals at the World Championships? The reason I say it as all the fighters in the team will really think they have a great chance of winning a medal at this championship. I think this team could well be the record breakers.

    I'd go as far as saying that's a modest prediction matt! You say Moylette/Hickey would be better than 50/50. I'd go further again and say that whichever one of them goes (moylette/hickey) has as good a chance as barnes, nevin, etc.
    I mean, look at Moylette!! He's Euro Champion. I know when Hickey won the bronze in 2008 a lot of countries sent second string teams, but if he beats moylette in a box-off then he has beaten the current european champion! Whichever one of them goes I really fancy to qualify for London!
    Let's say hypothetically they do have a box-off and hickey wins; then he qualifies for london. What does moylette do? Sit around for 5 years waiting for 2016 or sign a lucrative pro contract (which would surely be on the table for a european amateur champion)?

    by the way 2m at the central council meeting it is being brought to the floor that the winners of the box-offs be sent to the the world championships with the exception of paddy and joe ward, because there was no1 entered in paddys weight and davey joe has a wedding the same time! other than that the board of officers have selected the winners of the box-offs to go to the worlds! that leaves no nevin, o neill or moylette! id like to see how it is taken by the members of the central council!
