Outside of what happens in the ring, I'm not sure that there's every been anything good or holy about boxing, particularly the business side of it. I took my wife to see The Boxer, and when Micky beat Shea Neary for the WBU belt, I tried to explain to her that it wasn't one of the big four belts. i realized how ridiculous I must have sounded to her about halfway in and let her enjoy the film. So I've been doing a little bit of digging. The WBU was apparently dissolved. A crowd in Germany re-started it. That is te title that Gene holds.
