Munroe was simply dreadful, I thought before last night that Dunne v Munroe was a 50/50 fight but now I'd be pretty confident of a Dunne victory.

Frank Maloney has made an offer for Dunne to fight Munroe next in November. This would mean Dunne fighting Munroe in front of 1,000 people in some leisure centre for short money and having to fight on SKY and not RTÉ but I think Dunne's camp should take it.

If they want the European title back they're going to have to do it cause Martinez is the current mandatory and Maludrottu will be named the next one so Dunne could be waiting up to 18 months to get a shot otherwise.

Funny that Paulie Hyland's opponent 'hurt' his hand in sparring, considering he was fighting in Thailand yesterday. Odd that Paulie only knew of the change today as even I knew a day or two ago.

Most of the gary hyde bill is up on boxrec, looks like a real good card. Mike perez is going up against some undefeated brazlian 7-0 (6 ko's).

I'd doubt the Brazilian will be up to much, most of them have that type of padded record and the one guy he didn't stop has been stopped frequently by others.

But once it's a step up for Perez I won't complain.
Hopefully it'll be a good nights boxing.

Anyway Patrick Hyland stopped John Gicharu in one round. Gicharu went the distance with Derry Matthews over 8 not too long ago(although was floored once) so that's an impressive result for Patrick.

Paulie and Eddie won on points, Paulie over 8 against Nicolae and Eddie over 10 against Munika. Robert long made a succesful debut with a 4 round points win over Romanian Florin Bogdan.

I'd like to see Lee in against someone like Ray Joval or Wayne Elcocl next. Graned two completely different styles but in terms of level they'd be a step up and they're around the same level.

Paul McCloskey does need another good tough bout, I'd love to see him try and get down to lightweight because he's just so flabby in most of his fights that you're sure he could.

I'd like to see him in against Giuseppe Lauri, Lauri is an okay fighter who would present a new but very winnable challenge to Paul and he would also offer a #16 WBC ranking, a #5 ranking with the EBU and the European Union title.

Currently Paulie is 40th with the WBC and 11th in Europe so that'd be a very good progressive win for him.

If Dunne does fight in October it would mean he's not fighting Munroe in November and while I'm sure the offer from Maloney is probably **** poor, that would be a disappoitment.

I hope Dunne takes the hit for the fight with Munroe it would lead to more european title fights in dublin! possibly in the new O2 again if he won

Munroe is the champ so he can call the shots he is not going to come to Dublin to fight Dunne he doesnt have to.Dunne needs to man up go to england for buttons if necessary and regain the title because he is slipping back and back each month he doesnt have a meaningfull contest.

Agreed Puca, Dunne should have the skill to outfox Munroe.:hi:
