Irish v Irish is the priority.

If foreigner have to be used the first option would be to go with British lads that people know about.

Remember Anthony Cacace from the amateurs? Now the Belfast boxer is back to haunt the pro. #TipFor2012

Thanks for all the info. It looks like Emerald promotions again in The Devonish Complex for the Gleann boxers and others on the 28th January. I'm hearing Dee Walsh, the Ginley brothers, Gerald Healy, Anthony Cacace, Joe Hilerby and last but not least Willie "big bang" Casey [maybe].
It's interesting that Emerald promotions did a bit of a "dummy run" with their unlicenced pro show before Christmas in the same venue, and I'm assuming it must have been a success as he's coming back for more but this time upping the stakes.

50/50 fights are great in principle, but if your looking to build something as I hope slappie will be doing, the last things he needs is his big ticket sellers to "fall at the first". Imo it's all about competitive match-making rather than 50/50 match-making. You got to remember at least 80% of Slappies or Emeralds crowd will be there to support individual boxers and you don't want to be sending a portion of this crowd home unhappy because their particular boxer has lost, but the chances are they won't be back.

I think there's a fair chance Hennessy could run a promotion this year somewhere in Ireland, so I hope that fight could happen then.

Is it looking more unlikely now that McCloskey won't happen at the Odyssey?

Happy birthday to you also Luke, and I hope you turn pro this year.

Do you think this girl will run any shows this year Jonny?

By the sounds of it Willie be basing himself in Belfast for the forseeable future, I have my suspicions who will be promoting him, but it's only speculation atm.

I hope it does work, it could also be interesting to put a theme on the night, Ireland V England or Scotland or whatever, or even Belfast V Dublin, Ulster V Leinster something along those lines.

:D It's interesting that Anthony is talking about blowing people away, because it will be a quare departure away from his amateur days.

    I enjoyed that article. Clark V Walsh:hey

    28th January, I hope your going:good
