Might have to make travel arrangements for this myself.
Lads be careful in ElPaso its not the kind of place you want to get in an arguement with a stranger. Think of it as the gun capital of the US.
Gonna have to go to this I think! Theres no direct flights from Ireland but you could just fly to JFK and get a cheap flight from Laguardia airport which is near JFK (25 minutes taxi). thats your best bet to save money. Also don't be afraid to book your internal flight in the US on the day because you might get it as low as $100 on the day.

You may be right, Slap, but I don't think Andy would see it that way. I'm happy that he's got Manny Steward in his corner, but I'm afraid there's no overestimating the corruptness of the Texas commission. A loss of any kind, and I'm afraid Andy goes back to the end of the queue. It's **** or get off the pot time.

It didnt work out that way for Macklin after Sturm.

Also look at McCloskey after Khan. He was on his way to what would have most likely have been a landslide points defeat but the unjust way the fight was ended galvanised his support.

A loss like that might feel bad in the week or so after but in the medium term it can be beneficial in some circumstances.

Rumours that Willie Casey is going to go up in weight and fight for the WBA international title on April 21st as cover for an injury. Yet to be confirmed

Hopefully with Casey's new promotion team he will be more active. Casey will always have a chance in most fights with his power!

I'd prefer Andy and Macklin win separate titles and never fight each other, like the Klits do. There are plenty of other non-Irish middleweights for them both.
