No I didnt miss the point, being the best boxer in Britain is a greater achievment, there's plenty of fighters uk registered not from Britain, its never an issue with anyone else, and for the most part being the best in the UK generally includes irish fighters as well.

The origional post said that "hopefully Carl Frampton will bring everyone together", but theres no chance of that happening when he absolutely is not concerned with Ireland, and much considers himself British, and never hid that fact! Barry McGuigan at least tried to stay neutral (even though he's from the republic!) What I was sayin is that he has always wanted the British belt and to be the best in Britain. And the point you missed, was that Irish men should be proud to be the Champion of Ireland! Tyson Fury said winnin the Irish belt meant more to him than winnin a world title would! "being the best boxer in Britain is a greater achievment"? Well then let Carl Frampton move over there (with Barry McGuigan) and represent Britain over there! And if your an Irishman, go ****in with them and do what Barry did and swap your ****in passport! "UK generally includes irish fighters as well"? No, UK and Ireland! The same in any sport!

Of course he had a choice, no one forced him to box for Ireland , go and spout your nationalistic bull**** somewhere else, it never has and never will come into Irish boxing, this thread could do without the likes of clowns like yourself !
