“I was very surprised with Patrick Hyland, we didn’t expect such a very good performance from an Irish boxer.”

    Bit cheeky, wasn't it.

There's a terrific buzz in Belfast about tonights fights with near 8,000 tickets sold. The main event will lift the roof but expect a classic from Lindsay and Selby. I was speaking [texting] one of Martins relatives earlier and he said he has never seen him in such good shape and brimming with confidence, an upset may well be on the cards in this one.

Unless Lee suddenly gains some stamina and learns to stop blocking punches with his face, Macklin would seriously **** him up. :deal

I thought Lee was meant to be the softly spoken, respectful, nice guy who evryone liked? He certainly talks complete shite at times for someone with that reputation. Also said he could get get rid of Fitz in 3 or 4 rounds- if he wanted...

Andy is a very respectful guy. I watched the vid and it turns out the title is misleading. He said he thinks Macklin would be the easiest of the British middleweights the interviewer brought up.

Good to hear him say he's loosened his shoulders a bit since he started working with Booth. He's very stiff.

Hes as stiff as a board. I think he was going a bit stale with Steward tbh. He never made any real improvements and sn't a prospect anymore, but still fights like one at times. Thats 30 fights now and what the hell is his best win?

I still think that saying he could spark Fitz in 3 or 4 rounds- if he wanted to, was a bit of a ****ish statement. Why not just go out and spark him then if hes so confident? Don't say a statement like that and then hint that the plan will be just to box and get the rounds in the bank :nono

I just caught the results of tonights card. Apparently Frampton put on a great performance, how did Lee look in going the distance, it doesn't sound too impressive going by his prediction

    Andy looked poor.

He looked like he really didnt care to be there.

When he opened up,you could see the gap in class, but he was happy to just lie on the ropes half the time.

You get the feeling that if he was really tuned in,he could have finished it,early, but reallly looked apathetic in there, and Fitzgerald fought his heart out
