Spike is tough and hits hard, but he is just too slooooow for HNN. It would be BJS all over again, Spike wouldn't win a round. So unless he is really desperate....

Does anyone know what reason Andy Lee gave for not facing HNN on the February 15 bill?
That's if he gave a reason.

Have to respectfully disagree that it was a good opportunity for spike! it think HNN would make him look foolish. It would be an awful spectacle IMO.
spike needs someone who is less mobile, that can be hit, in order for his strength, toughness and punch, which are his strong points, to tell.
Wouldn't mind seeing him in with Murray or Blackwell, though both beat him IMO.

As much as I love all things Belfast I actually don't think they are good as the southern lads. The northern lads rarely report on non northern lads, whereas southern lads report on all and the northern lads only usually turn up to the arena bills whereas the southern lads are more likely to be at all including small hall shows.

apparently he has a better opportunity. Also - the HNN fight has no tv coverage where as Andy should be on either Sky or HBO next :hey

i couldnt tell u who turns up at shows but i no the irish news and newsletter. not so much the telegraph report on all the shows north and south... now bbcni and utv r a different story... norn ireland all the way with them boyos... theres a unionists mindset going on there that looks at the 26 counties as a foriegn country and tries 2 brainwash every1 up here 2 think likewise..but then again the same is happening on the other side of the "border" as jonnys comment was an example of that.... the unionists and partitionists r winning it seems.. f.uck michael collins u b.astard u have a lot 2 answer 4 :good

All this pulling out business s getting on my nerves. :nut
These guys are being a bit too choosy IMO.
Murray now not fighting Fletcher. Thats two ozzies Murray alone has pulled out of (if you forgive the unfortunate turn of phrase!).
By 'better opportunity' and 'HBO' for Andy suppose that means Macklin on some undercard at/near Paddys Day??
