Totally agree I think since the Martinez win,Frampton has made no progress at all. You could argue due to this inactivity its been a wasted year of his development.:deal

IB I was there ringside and it was not competitive. HNN outclassed Fitz. Fitz is a tough man and is all guts, but I don't get the point to make a rematch. HNN is a couple of levels above IMO.

LSc over at the Scene saying he wants Frampton after his next fight . Barry and Carl would be wise to get a fight in now against someone good thta will challange him.

Fair enough! But you know how it is these days with fighters and managers only wanting to fight for the big money. They way they are talking they want Leo Santa Cruz next, but they might take a fight in the meantime possibly away from Belfast.
I don't think they want to mess about especially as they turned down a IBF eliminator.. It's just about getting the opportunity.

Ideally them both fighting on the same bill would set up their fight with each other nicely.
It would certainly introduce Carl to Santa Cruz's fan base.
I hope they can make this happen!

There were planning on getting Kiko back to Belfast, but Kiko obviously went down another route with Hazegawa in Japan. Barry and Carl could have went ahead with this supposed IBF final elliminator in Belfast, but they want a world title fight and Santa Cruz now and and maybe him fighting on the undercard of LSC is part of the deal? And Boxnation will no doubt be showing his fights no matter where they are.
But make no mistake if/when Frampton wins the title McGuigan will putting on massive shows in Belfast. Hopefully before the end of the year.

Tommy McCarthy is apparently after going pro with GreenBlood in the US (John Joe Nevin's crowd). Good move for him, could make an impact on the cruiserweight scene

Yeah certainly especially seen as the CW isn't exactly stacked so he could certainly be a player in it. Just out of interest who are these Green Blood crowd that John Joe and Tommy have signed with what other fighters do they promote or are they very new.

Anyone see the youth finals streamed last night some cracking fighters coming through. Missed the first one but heard Irvine was class. Donoughue looked world class as he should be being the world champion and Cully at 56 is a freak at 6 foot 3 also a savavge boxer. Wayne Kelly was class at 64 and so was Hynes and Thomas. Just a pity Johnny Joyce got injured and Crocker got robbed in the semis that would of been the final of the night.
