Not especially hes a good solid elite boxer, dont think he ever beat the likes of sheehan, gardener etc but always gave them a tough nights work, He would be national level at best id say,
RIP FightinIrish84, brother of Derry boxer Tyrone McCullagh. Didn't post here often but sad to hear he's passed on.
You never know though, he's training at Celtic Warrior and Packie Collins has proven himself to be an excellent coach. Could be another Keeler
Spike O'Sullivan just announced that he is fighting Dominican LMW Melvin Betancourt [29(23)-1(1)] in Boston for the NABA title on May 23rd as part of the undercard for Dirrell-DeGale. Betanco has a padded record, has never fought outside the Dominican Republic, and is moving up in weight so O'Sullivan should knock him out. Fight will apparently be shown on Sky here and NBC over in the States, good publicity for Spike.
looks like lee and bjs is off for the moment because of andys shoulder injury ... that could mean bjs and eubank now fiting each other for the interim title:good
No Frampton-Quigg and now no Andy-BJS! ??? :| Real bummer about Carl-Scott, since it really does appear to have been scuppered by petty personal 'politics' alone. Huge fight, huge purse, a fight we all wanted to see. There werent a million reasons for it to go ahead....there were 1,500,000 reasons. :-( (Even worse it could be scuppered for good if Kiko beats Quigg.) Wonder what Carls alternative is for this summer. Nothing half as good as a Quigg fight I'll bet.
I'm only going by the elite national entries list which has his year of birth as 1984. Could easily be a mistake
The Red Cow plays host to boxing for the second time this year this coming Saturday night. Philip Sutcliffe Jr tops the bill and faces a tough French test against Yoann Portailler. Burnett isnt the best prospect in Ireland :verysad, that would be Sutcliffe closely followed by Quigley and McCarthy. Ryan is best staying over in the London where there is less talent.:deal
