were hoping to give him 30/40 minutes. Danny O'Connor is all but confirmed for next thursday Then Buncey is lined up to come on and talk about Jennings and Cotto and what ever else comes up ! Future guests include an Irish American crowd favourite and an Irish former World Champ. Keep it on the grind for '09
Good job Paddy my man. I dont think I will be up at 1am, but I will download it tomorrow, and listen to it then. Dean Byrne could be the hidden gem of Irish boxing.:thumbsup
Cordoba seems like the weakest champ in this division but only because the rest are so strong.Dunne won't be able to hurt him so best case scenario is for Dunne to sgueeze out a decision. His chin is dodgy as we all know so he will need to be at his absolute best to win.I give him a decent chance but he will be a fairly big underdog.
weak as Poitín. I cant believe people are underestimating him. He lost a split to Kratingdaenggym in Thailand and two draws with Sidorenko in Germany (all those could be considered wins) and is the last man to beat WBA and IBF champion Celestino Caballero.
I'm not underestimating him, but i do think he loses to Vasquez,Juanma and Caballero - i know he beat Caballero before but Cabellero was very impressive in beating Molitor i think he wins the rematch.I did say that he is the weakest champ in a very strong division, that doesn't mean i think he's a pushover
If he punches hard enough to kill someone in the ring then he can't be underestimated. he has some nice results and is a good up and coming champion. If Bernard had Wayne McCulloghs chin he'd be able to outbox most lads if the division but he's stuck with his own set of whiskers and thats what will always cost him. You can't fight in world title bouts and not take solid shots. anyone good enough to fight for a world title is going to be good enough to hit you clean
Thats great news, I listened to you tonight with byrne good interview. How did he qualify for the oz belt? Good mention of the thread. Is that going to be a regular slot? Irish boxing is really going big atm
yeah I'm going to be trying to get british fighters aswell in the future but next week its danny o'connor the irish american golden gloves champ hes fighting this friday so I'll be asking him about that. as regards irish fighters I've got a few lined up that im very excited about. i was hoping to leave Dunne for a few months but i suppose I'll have to make enquiries asap! buncey scooped me on that today! but Big Daddy Bunce will be coming on the show in 2 weeks time to talk about Jennings and what ever else comes up (he'll probably have a dig at Buddy McGirt)
