yep, that is good news alright Marty. Now that you've seen Eubank in powerhouse mode do you still think Irish prospects like Luke Keeler will be ready for him in a few fights time?
Eubank is good but is stamina is suspect and he doesn't punch that hard, theres nothing extraordinary about him. Quigley and keeler will be ready for him in a year or so
Cant agree about his stamina - if anything its exceptional. He takes breathers sure - but only after throwing as many as 20-25 full power shots in combo. Who else does that? Those blazing combos are breathtaking. If anything, its amazing that he can take a short breather, recover and do it all over again. His athleticism has to be all the more exceptional to cover up flaws in technique - but as he gains more experience, develops technically, smoothens out the rough edges etc and combines this improved technique with being a physical beast at 160 he could easily become a global superstar. Downside = lack of power: he is likely to be in serious trouble if he outgrows 160ibs.
I wont argue with u on that one.... as the south of Ireland has become a joke in recent times... there west brit politicians attack northern leaders for playing their part in the struggle that the signatures of the proclamation started ... hypocrites atsch.... anyway did you go to any of the parades... I went to the one in Belfast where 1916 has always been remembered.... my aul da use to carry me on his shoulders at this event....that's how long I have been going there.... great turn out as always.... and a day I'm always proud to be an irish republican :good
Happy Easter Fra. No mate I didnt get to see a parade, bit old for that now mate . Disgusted with my fellow countrymen. Most of the clowns in my estate with the biggest tri-colours out their windows dont even know what the flag is supposed to symbolise - or what a republic is supposed to be about, or what it is to be a good citizen. Crying shame really. In the right hands, under proper management, this place would be an awesome country. (What happened to Nick Blackwell hasnt helped my form.)
Is this deja vu for the Eubanks? Does this mean that a Dub is gonna come along and take Eubanks scalp? And whatever belt he has? :bbb
ive looked at keeler v doran prizefighter semi final again.... at the time I thought doran won the 1st 2rds and luke the 3rd.... but on reflection the 1st rd could have went either way.... I also noticed lukes power hurt doran at times.... cant help thinking that this is a fight luke can definitely win no matter what the odds say.. I expect doran to jab ..move and counter like before but the difference being once he slows down luke will take him apart with the heavier punches... anybody else got a view on this:good
One question - why has Doran not progressed more since prizefighter. He has been very inactive. Luke has a physical reason (hand trouble) - but I would have exepected Doran to be fast-tracked towards a British Title or something similar???? This isnt a 'gimme' for Luke. Doran is the type of guy you cant afford to sleep on. His first half dozen fights didnt mark him out as being anything special. Points decisions against guys with losing records. Big deal. But things have changed - his last half dozen fights have been against guys with winning records - and he has been stopping people. Doran is no mug - he is the type of guy who creeps up on people and catches em by surprise. Luke better not neglect his boxing, defence, jab etc. If he goes in there like a hot-head and tries to 'Nigel Benn' this guy he could come unstuck. But Luke really should win this - I favour him to be too strong for Doran, but as I say its not a 'gimme'. (To put things in perspective, Doran is Lukes first and only meaningful unbeaten-record opponent. Whereas Doran on the other hand has fought several unbeaten guys before and handed them their first loss. How many guys has Luke done this to? So in a way it is Luke who is stepping up in class here, not Doran.....)
I think luke can win but will need to force the fight without neglecting his defence. If keeler can take away Doran jab then the battle is won but easier said than done.I'm expecting a tough fight for Luke but I'm also confident he can and will win
doran is questioning whether lukes hand was injured at all during their semi final.... states hes going to knock luke out on Saturday ....brave words from the welsh mangood
Jamie conlan fiting Anthony nelson for commonwealth title on 30th April on BJS undercard.... how good is nelson :think:good
:yep ... get in there luke ...... remember the men of 1916 when ur bashing this brit up on Saturday  IRELAND IRELAND IRELAND :good
Oh nooooo...Lukes fight cancelled on medical grounds. Bbboc doctor detected strong speech irregularities during routine pre fight medical........the clowns don't realise that's just the brutal Dublin accent....
