is the Tommy McCarthy fight against ****inson for the british title... doesn't say so in boxrec... the fight is still waiting status:think:good
Is it possible that we could have Eubank v Andy Lee announced soon? Lee doesn't seem to have retired after that loss to BJS...(he really should have...) ....anyway it would make sense for CEJ to target Billys last victim and look to beat him more convincingly than BJS did. This would obviously strengthen CEJ's hand in rematch negotiations with Saunders.

Defeats too to Conceicao, Alvarez, Berik Abdrakhmanov, and Oumiha in the final of the Euro qualifier. Beat Eronosyan to win European gold in 2015, also beat Valentino. Some great veterans in there, Alvarez, Conceicao, Selimov and Joyce. Overall a weak weight division. Suarez, Narimatsu and Benbaziz probably not good enough to medal and Baldaras, Allisop, Cabrera, Perrin, lopez and al Mahmoud certainly would need a lot of luck. Unlikely as it seems, the Russian too is average so that leaves the four veterans, plus Cordina and Oumiha who could medal but hardly gold. Abdrakhmanov, Otgondalai, and Tojibaev are live prospects. Best fighters still not qualified? Eranosyan, Gokcek, AlKasheb, Valentino, LaCruz and Melyak. Anyway here go my ratings; 1-Alvarez 2-Tojibaev 3-Selimov 4-Conceicao 5-Joyce 6- Abdrakhmanov 7-Otgondalai 8-Oumiha 9-Cordina 10-Suarez This content is protected
I've no proof this fight will happen, Marty. Just a guesstimate! Cej is fighting two time keeler-conqueror Doran next I believe. I think Jacobs is still looking for an opponent, but a fight with him would not end well for Andy, I fear. Politely disagree with you , I say Eubank mauls Andy. Andy really doesn't have any options in terms of meaningful fights he can actually win anymore, so now is the time to call it quits IMO.
With the olympics on the horizon, which of our amateurs qualified or not do you reckon will turn over to the pro game this year? I'd imagie Michael Conlan is a certainty. Paddy Barnes would aswell but seemingly has never been made any offers (obviously down to being in a less popular weight class). Joe Ward is an interesting one, it seems there may be ambitions there. He is always spoken about as being tailor made for the pro game but i'm not so sure, he would need a hell of alot of work he does have a very amateur friendly style, and supposedly is a real homebird aswell so I could never imagine him setting up camp in the States for instance. I've never heard David Oliver Joyce ever mention the pro game despite being the one who would adapt most easily I reckon. Time may not be on his side however.
Have to say I disagree with you. Eubank has yet to prove himself at top flight level. Whereas Andy has
