Carl's fans are losing out cause s of the continuing feud and enmity with Barry Hearn. The stub hub rip off with tickets for quigg and now his biggest fight ever being on a minority channel. It's very sad.

I can't understand fras constant knocking of our greatest boxing legend...a nice guy.....who delivered as a fighter ...and is doing great work with Carl. Baffling attitude.

 

I can't understand how Barry Hearn got a total monopoly on sky. Fall out with him ....as team Carl have done...and you are doomed as far as tv coverage is concerned. Very annoying and very sad. Will this change anytime soon?

Well go on then Fra - its easy to prove me wrong - just have a good word to say about Barry, anything at all will do.....

 

It's such a shame there has been no "proper"build up to this fight...no press conferences, head to head meetings etc.....

It's been a disaster. Fight in USA. On TV ..sort of...via box nation, an obscure minority channel.


If sky..or even channel 5 or itv had this it would be different. Imagine if rte picked it up??

So how do you see the fight going?? - I thought you'd be showing a lot more interest.....

 

The thing that i dont get. Ireland pro boxing will boom sooner rather than later. Its a joke to see 3e showing reruns of UFCs on the Monday night. I think the average boxing fan would love to see a rerun of some of the fights with Irish fighters in them. I know most will be seen live but it be good for the sport to be back on some sort of Irish tv highlights is the best we can ask for. Looking to the future we will have some or the Rio team turning pro these guys wins medals this year the interest in there pro carrers there already to see how well they do.

If some of the guys who run Irish boxing website and some of the writers from the papers who come on here all went to RTE or TV3 and said listen we could do a highlights show of the Rio lads and current fighters and it wont cost a lot to do as its highlights I wonder if any of the major players in Irish tv go in on this. Worth a punt its a huge punt but if no one goes and asks then there may not be any chance of either station doing or showing live boxing any time soon.
