Its a safer option, I would prefer to see Turner get down to cruiser.

Big week for Irish boxing, Spike fights in what in essence is a final eliminator for the world middleweight title,
Little enough coverage yet again, but a huge card to be featuring on,

Terrible lack of coverage. Lemieux has been awful recently but overall he has had a better career than spike. I’m looking for David to recapture a sense of urgency for this one ... he has nowhere to go if he loses...a lemieux ko win for me. Sorry spike!

Paddy Power agrees with you, odds are big in what for my mind is a 50/50 type fight, i think Lemieux is better but it will be a gunfight thats for sure and Spike can bang,
For those intereseted (and i do not condon gambling :nonono;)) the spike/GGG double is 3.3 to 1,

How good is Dennis Hogan? I'd not realised he was so close to a title shot. What chance does he have against jaime munguia?

3.3 to 1?? Ought to be more like 33-1!!! Thanks for doing the research puca but I don't think I'll bet on spike Lemmie anyway , it's just too risky.. ..if DL shows up like he has been doing lately, then yes, Spike has a real chance. But if he turns up like he did for Curtis Stevens Spike is getting blitzed . The truth is probably somewhere in the middle.. . Lemmie is probably incapable of acurtis Stevens type performance at this stage, .. .so I can see spike having his moments in a messy brawl before getting brutally clobbered somewhere around the fifth or sixth.. . .spike is too hittable ...sorry again Spike....!!!
I love to hear what Luke keeler thinks, if hesaround....

On a separate note.. .has anyone besides me been struggling to read the TI NY print on the irish boxing website? Maybe it's just my failing eyesight but to me the text is far too small. I struggle to read it. Which is a shame because I would like to read it! If Joe is still alive somewhere reading this perhaps he could help....... I live in hope....

Hogan isn't good enough to win a world title, but im pleasantly surprised he's done so well.

The weigh in will tell a lot. Lemieux has been coming in overweight and unfit in recent fights. Spike might beat THAT version of DL. Either way spike will have to “box” a bit more than he is used to. He can’t just slug with this guy. Spike is a better boxer than Lemieux...(insofar as David can’t box at all and spike can box a little bit)...spike is a big underdog here...he can’t just go in with a “punchers chance” approach. He has to have a plan.

Spike is tough enough to take Lemules best. Think DL is on the slide aswel while Spike is in the form of his life and really training seriously by the looks of things.

Think Spike wears DL down and stops him in the 10th.

Spikes getting very personal with the verbals this time. He tried that with Eubank and it didn’t work...or win him any fans. He better hope his mouth isn’t writing Cheques his fists can’t cash.....

Bizarre attack on lemieux by Irish boxing. The rest of the world are more concerned with spikes “ greasy piece of sh1t” camment. Really poor from Irish boxing...
