are you serious he looks like ****, and he should have lost about 20 amateur fights but was gifted the decision, and the crowd was completely behind him and his opponent barely got a cheer every time so no wonder.

hes a nobody, going nowhere.

 

The British and Commonwealth scene at the moment is on a low and not nearly as strong as it was when Damaen Kelly, Jason Booth(although he's still there), Peter Culshaw and Dale Robinson were ruling the roost.

There is now a Super-Flyweight division aswell as Flyweight, splitting the talent in half.

I can't judge Wilton from the amateurs(never say him box as an amateur), and they're not always a great indicator of pro success anyway. Especially not for someone with Wilton's aggressive style.

I heard he didn't look great in his 3rd pro fight, but that's the only bad thing I've heard or seen of him as a pro. He's a 20 year old prospect, is obviously going to improve and imo has quite a bit of talent and has a beautiful aggressive style that will make for exciting fights in the future.

Considering how strongly negative you seem to be against him, and how out of the blue your post about him was, I'm guessing you have a severe dislike of him for either non boxing reasons or you or a mate of yours has boxed him in the past and wasn't happy with how the fight went.

 

Jamie Conlon is turning pro soon with Breen i think.These two could put on a belting little fight in a few months time.Remember just cause a guy isnt the most talented doesnt mean he cant be entertaining given the right opponent and rivalries.

Watching WBC mandatory for their Light-Welterweight title now, Devon Alexander.

Paul McCloskey is a lot better than this guy.
Alexander is very quick, slick to a degree and uses his jab well a lot.
But he really does look the novice which he is, and is making loads of mistakes in there.

He was floored by Rodriguez in the first, he wasn't hurt(just off balance) but the referee didn't rule a knockdown. His footwork isn't great and I don't think it would be tough to outmanoeuvre him in that regard and catch him off balance. He's got absolutely no pop in his hands either, and while he throws combinations they're not exactly dazzling.

Tim Bradley will stop this guy(if he keeps his WBC belt over the WBO).

i just have a feeling the yanks will turn on him after that loss.....

 

That's one of the first things that came to mind tbh, he won't be taken seriously in America for some time again.

Go back to Ireland where he can rebuild, look to go for the European title, not while Gevor holds it mind you I wouldn't have fancied Duddy to beat him before tonight, nevermind now.

Maybe he could look at a shot for the Light-middleweight European title, a fight with Jamie Moore would still be huge.
He could always take on James Moore or the Sinclair/Coyle winner to set it up.

I'm still shocked, the version of Campas he faced, the version of Eastman he faced, Leonard Pierre, Matt Vanda, all these guys are better fighter than Lyell.
