theres also mccloskey-mbaye .... and lindsay defending his title in the ulster hall[once hayemaker sort out a sky contract]...theres talk that duddy might be fighting in derry by the end of the year...and of course there is hyde and the cubans in cork yip theres a lot to be positive about
Well i can see McCloskey vs Mbaye been on Brian Peters card with Bernard Dunne & Andy Murray Defending his EU Title too Wouldn`t look into the Duddy fight too much though And Forgot about Hayemaker hopefully they can pull if off Or even Hyland vs Lindsay as an IBF Title elminator
yeah...i will call into the odyssey box office on my travels tomorrow... who else is going...should be a brilliant night
i seen pajo fight in belfast a year ago...if i was you...i would keep him well away from lindsay...martin is a level or two above pajo
Pajo has improved an awful lot in a year... he is getting more regular fights and tougher opposition....Patrick will be well able to handle Martin Lindsay
i like pajo and wish him well...but only call it as i see it...if the fight does happen.. it should be on rte for everyone to view..
If that fight came about i think there will be a biding war between T.V companies for the rights..... 2 Top class irish guys both ranked by the IBF, 1 with the Irish Title and with both having good KO power....Has everything a boxing fan wants Hayemaker and Golden Cobra should set up a meeting sooner rather than later and organise the next Fight of the Year
It would be quite the fight but I don't think the risk/reward ratio is there for either man at the minute. Would be some fight all the same. I'd have to go with Lindsay late KO on what I have seen so far but it could just as easily go the other way. Couldn't see it going to points
With respect mate, that is absolute nonsense for someone who doesn't know Bernard O'Neill, the writer, or Spike himself. Granted, I didn't read the Sun article, but here is what Spike said in my paper, the Evening Echo. If I win the Intercontinental title my plan would be to defend it and few times, build up my ranking and challenge Zab Judah for his title." Nothing wrong with that whatsoever. No different to any 25-year-old with ambition. At least he's talking about building a record instead of calling out Judah right now. As far as Bernard O'Neill goes, he is one of the most respected writers in Irish boxing. To call him a "****" is way over the top. I would venture to say he knows more about boxing than you, or me, or a lot of folks who post here on ESB. Being the press officer of the Irish Amateur Boxing Association kinda means you've probably picked up a few things over the years, wouldn't ya think? Bernard O'Neill, along with Brendan Mooney, the Mylers and Gerry Callan, are people who have kept boxing in the mainstream media. If you are going to have a pop at someone, blame the sub-editors who made the piece more appealing to a wider readership. I'm not looking for an argument, I try to stay away from that on ESB, but I had to have my say on it. By the way, Adam, you call Spike a hype-job. Fair enough, everyone is entitled to their opinion. I'd counter that by saying people were wondering about Paulie and Eddie Hyland for a while after defeats. But we know they are class acts. Spike won his fight. He hits as hard as anyone in Ireland, perhaps even in Britain or Ireland. Give him time, he's still a novice - good quality sparring and better fights will bring him along. Eddie, Pajo and Paulie have been around a lot longer, and we all believe in them, don't we?
sorry if its off the point just looking through the pages thought id reply! does anyone know if the Hyland fight is on Setanta Ireland or Setanta 1- This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected
SEXTON EYES REPEAT SHOWING http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12183_5459296,00.html SEXTON: I'LL HAVE ROGAN FOR BREAKFAST http://www.frankwarren.tv/drill/New.../sexton-i-ll-have-rogan-for-breakfast123.html
was talking to frank maloney today he said sutherland will be fighting in Oct- maybe the 16th- most likely in England.. he said he wanted Munroe v Dunne in Dublin with Daz on the undercard.
I still cant see aqny reason for Dunne to fight munroe he's been average against poor opposition the last few times i've watched him and its not really a big fight either the only people who know anything about him over here are the big fans, the majority have never heard of him.
