canelo is the same age as broner and has fought much better talent fighters than broner..But we will see how good he really is may 5.

i am hoping for the best sugar shane to come foward and trade with canelo..

then maybe against james kirk. later this year.

Haymon is terrible for boxing, but great for his fighters. If Berto can earn over a million dollars fighting Hernandez, Gary Russell Jr can knock over nobodies in 8 rounders and Broner can continue to defend his "world title" against hand-picked opponents all on a premium subscription channel, that's HBO's fault. Haymon is just doing his job.

i honestly can't fault haymon in whatever he's doing with his fighters. the better they do, the more money he makes.

it should be clear to everybody that haymon is in this business to make money for himself.

canelo has fought nobody who would bring him any big problems, he's been carefully matched and for me ponce de leon is better than any fighter canelo has got in the ring with.

if shane comes in light and doesn't rehydrate big then he has a chance, he's going to need his speed. canelo's youth gives him a huge advantage, he should be able to dominate from round 3 onwards with shane's recent poor conditioning and ring rust.

if he gets past shane then kirkland would be ok, but he should be fighting elite fighters, i go back to my earlier point that if you have a belt you should be fighting the best possible fighters. he should try to make fights with cotto and martinez.

these fighters need to look at abner mares, he is one of the few true champions in boxing, he will fight anyone and tries to make the biggest fights.

This is just ONE thing that's fked up about boxing, all these so-called champs that don't wanna' fight anybody. In the real eras, if you were 'champ', you had to prove it. I DO get tired of those grinning chimps that Haymon has at EVERY fight, yelling, and grinning like they're in a damn circus. When their guy loses, you don't see those stooges.

haymon is good for boxing. if not for haymon....many of the african american fighters today would be avoided like the plague. arum for the most part, puts african american fighters on the back burner. as for the "inflated purses" of his fighter....i'd rather the fighters get the money than the greedy promoters.

Well, I'm a Berto fan, (another Haymon fighter), and he's certainly taken his share of criticism over the years for the void in appealing opposition on his resume. That said, there are similarities in Broner's career path thus far to Berto's earlier career pacing - and whatever detractions he's presently subjected to, IMO, are deserved; as were Berto's.
