Probably the draft, who originally failed him because of his literacy skills, and offered some ridiculously low IQ number, before they revised his tests and re classified him as 1A, thus making him eligible for induction into the army.

After that it was the pro Vietnam establishment that used it as a means of insulting him, for refusing to go.

That was the first name that leaped to mind when I read Elroy's observation, Doug.

The punisher also comes to mind.

Well BE, the patent (and perhaps, unforgiveable) Irishness of both Quarry and Ali was so obvious that I deemed it implicit, hence my not actually dwelling on it or even mentioning it.

This is simply an embarrassing post even for the low standards we have grown accustomed to from the troll Elroy.

You worship and fawn over the Klitschkos, very same advantages. What an incredible double standard you have.

You take away the Klitschkos same advantages and size them down, they don't even reach the standards of Jerry Quarry, who was perhaps one of the best heavyweights never to win a title.

We all understand you and 'the others' don't like black fighters. You can give them your snide backhanded compliments all you wish. Your racist views, still show through all the same. You and 'the others' are so laughably easy to see through.

Is your life so boring Elroy that trolling a boxing website is your days enjoyment?

If any Heavyweight is to be in the top 10, Ali is the easy choice. His ring accomplishments are legendary. And to think we were all deprived of seeing him at his best for those 3.5 years. He transcended boxing and became an icon.

It doesn't matter how off the wall Elroy may, or may not be, any credibility your observations of him deserve just went down the toilet with the pathetic pulling of the race card. A racist would not say Ray Robinson has zero chance of beating Mayweather. A fvcking IDIOT would, but not a racist. Similarly I would bet he has said that black Heavies from recent times would outclass Ali ( though I can't be bothered to check his posts to find out ) Again that might make him a moron, but it DOESN'T make him a racist.

    A stupid card to play.

I don't think that even Ali believes that he is truly the "greatest", based on him saying many times in interviews(after retirement) that most of how he was as a boxer was showmanship. People loved him, not solely because he was a good boxer but because he had an entertaining personality(and he also proved courageous outside the ring).

His personality just mixed so well with his fighting style.

I'd imagine that if we had a young Ali in our midst now, boxing will be very hot.

I agree. I disagree with Elroy's opinions much of the time but I don't see any reason to bring race into this. I don't know the man.
