You are correct in that the current Heavyweight crop is the worst ever seen with only Povetkin and Wilder appearing capable of giving Joshau potential problems although he can spark both clean out.

Manuel Charr was ranked 4 by the WBA last month and Hughie ' The Skirt' Fury becoming Mandatory challenger for Parker's WBO title last month really says it all.

These multi millionaire promoters, boxers and top Sky Employees are a disgrace fleecing unsuspecting casual boxing mugs PPV money for what genuine boxing fans know is a pile of turd.

Robbing people is wrong even if it is easy to do it - this is no better than Drug Abusers mugging pensioners in the street.

 

You don’t have to buy the fight. No excuse with the ‘casuals’ getting mugged off either because it’s quite easy to type Pulevs name in google and have a look at his record to determine if this fight is worth paying for. It’s not and I won’t be buying. Pulev will last 4-5 rounds max. But you can’t blame Joshua as he has no choice but to fight him. Not much competition for him atm.

 

They wont stop until ppv numbers are shockingly low.That's why i love Haye,he managed to singlehandedly shut down Sky Box Office,from 2011 to 2013.I thought that was the end of ppvs on Sky,but then BT got involved in sports,back in late 2012 and Frank Warren has stated this,Sky panicked as they thought BT would come into Boxing.So they gave Hearn the exclusive contract,and Froch Kessler started it all up again.Very sly also to creep up the ppv prices,it used to be £14.95 now 19.95 and i wouldnt be suprised to see it rise to £24.95 if people continue to buy.

 

I use my mates to gauge these things. Real part time Boxing fans. They are already planning their night on the night of the Joshua fight. They cant wait for it, well up for it they said, i asked what they thought about his opponant and they couldnt even tell me his name.

They are also looking forward to the Groves fight tonight against some guy, Cox i said, Is he American they ask. I ask are you looking forward to tonights American card cuz thats guna be way better, they didnt know asked who was on it, i told them, never heard of them they said.

But already lookin forward to Joshua even though they have no idea who he is in against.

 

People are not paying PPV money to watch a fight they are paying PPV money to watch Anthony Joshua knock people out.

 

This is exactly what I expect most of the PPV buyers to be, and that's why it isn't going to stop anytime soon either.
Even if every real boxfan boycots the fight, enough casuals will buy it anyway and nothing changes. Only thing that accomplishes is that the actual boxgans won't be able to see the fight but the casuals do.

For me this doesn't matter because I'm no Brit and I can see his fights and the Super Series for free anyway. But for Btitish boxfans this situation stinks.

 

You dont understand the sheer amount of casuals in the UK for AJ.I bet you some of them wont even know who Floyd Mayweather is.

I don't think people are criticising pulev or AJ, I personally made the original point that having this event on at Cardiff stadium is a bad mistake. I think the event as a whole is weak however and with the logistics of the Cardiff arena with regards to transport and hotels, alongside the shear number of official tickets still on sale and the number of resale tickets selling for close to face value that people don't want to go to the event and stadium will be half empty

Cardiff after boxing and football millwall will be rough as hell.

 

To be fair the Brits have never been interested in the American cards (unless it involved a megastar... or a Brit), and the Americans have never been interested in the British cards.

You'd be hard pushed to find many in Britain who watched guys like Oscar De La Hoya or even the Holyfield-Bowe trilogy. Likewise, I doubt there were too many Americans who were tuning into watch Barry McGuigan or Eubank-Watson, Benn-Eubank, Benn-Watson etc.

 

This fight is a rip-off, nobody wants to see it. Wilder will not fight Joshua, he will chicken out, does not want to fight Joshua...............or Ortiz, or Povetkin, etc.
