The defense and the chin are definitely worries...but I think the movement thing is apart of a bigger problem. He's more or less just skating by on his ability in there. He doesn't move well because his opponents are so lackluster that it's effortless for him. He strikes me as a lazy sort of boxer when he's not punching and when he meets someone who punches back, it's gonna be a problem for him.
Berto is a puncher (maybe boxer/puncher?) who likes to come forward and bang away. Like every other puncher sooner or later he will be (easily) outboxed when facing a skilled a-level fighter. That day may come after a few years from now.. but it will come. NB.: everyone is beatable, but a puncher (De Leon, Darchinyan) will be sooner figured out then a boxer (Floyd, LL) Peace !
Berto is way to hittable, and movement doesn't seem to come naturally to him at all. Against someone accurate who hits hard, he'll probably get obliterated. He has great handspeed, and he's become much better at mixing up his punches, but that's about all he has on his side. Also, I'm pretty confident that he'll end up having stamina problems.
Would you like to make a bet if that fight is ever made? I side with Quintana, and would've prior to Quintana's fight with Williams as well. And as for one of the posts above regarding Ponce De Leon, he will be figured out as soon as he faces anybody good period. He is awful.
Berto is definitely one to be exposed, havn't liked some of his work. Defence isn't great, and his chin looks a bit wobbly He puts some nice combinations together mind, prefer him to Williams Williams fights like a scared school boy. Flicking out pitty patty shots, no authority in his work whatsoever, poor defense. Basically, he only got where he was because of freakish size and weight draining, combined with a decent work-rate. Fool...Williams lost his title in embarrsing fashion, Judah is coming from two rebounding wins and so is Collazo, who beat Haton even though the score didn;t show that...and lost to SSM.....so what is so wrong about the list fool those are the last two spots....
