I agree it is a deep division. I believe Showtime has all the right people in the tourney. They needed Taylor for his name and prestige but I would have preferred Bute at this point, but hindsight is 20/20. In any event I would put the odds of Bute winning the tournament, if he had been included, at about 1.2 billion to one against. I can see Tays putting together an alternate tourney that would go somthing like this: Bute, Robert Steiglits, Andrade, Berrio, Elvin Ayala, Sakio Bika. Bute would win that one. Of course it would prove very little since he is clearly better than each of those fighters, But hey, it will keep his fans happy. Of course paying the ref to make sure Bute doesn't get KnTFO at the end of fights works up there also.
bute impressed the hell out of me by beating andrade in the rematch. that showed mental toughness and determination. That was a big question mark i had on bute. his other skills are top notch.
Man, some of the posters on here.atsch Not based on what he has done in his career, but on what he brings to the table in terms of tangibles, i'd say yes. He is the best at 168. He's as fast as ward and a **** hair slower than dirrell, but's hits harder than both. He throws a **** load of punches, and is by far the best body puncher in the division. His stamina is his only question mark, but not his chin. I see him beating any guy at 168 on his best day, but could see him being outpointed by ward, or outlasted by froch. However, I seriously doubt either scenario. Besides, he may not need anyone at 168 to carve a legacy. He was just called out today on b-talk by the executioner.
NO not at all that would be a weak Tourney. But gues what how many top 10 fighters has each member in the super six beaten except kessler? and even Green said he felt Balzay b4 he lost to Steiglitz should of been included along with bute and himself. he actually felt AA ,jt, and Dirrell should of never been included.
I could see Abraham stretching Green if they fight so for his sake I think he is right about that one. I really like some of the things Bute does but he is going to need to beat someone in the division that doesn't fight like a punching bag with a bobble head on it before I would ever consider him a contender for # 1 in the division.
he has more top 10 opponets on his resume after Kessler and he's undefated and did not just lose his last fight wich is why Ring put him at #1 he's done more slightly then both Froch and Ward.
Yes it was impressive. But this was also the same Andrade that didn't win a second of the fight against Kessler. We all know what Ward did to Kessler. Yea, in boxing a=b=c kinda stuff doesn't work at all. Still, you gotta wonder how great that win over Andrade really is. And unfortunately a win over Miranda and the same formula applies. Right now I have have Ward and Bute as the clear top two fighters. Ward has beaten the better quality and done it impressively. Bute will always have doubters until he can get that big fight.
I know you are not saying andrade is a **** fighter. Please, take that back man. for the sake of boxing please. there are a ton of super middles who dont want anything to do with andrade, let alone twice.
I agree. As a matter of fact I called out ward being undisputed super middle champ years ago when people were still calling him **** after he made some early career mistakes. I still remember ward from the Olympics. I knew then he would be champ, and still to this day.
If you do not include zombies and contender alums who has Bute beaten? Andrade would lose to each and every member of the super 6 including Taylor. I consider Bute a one loss fighter as he got kntfo at the end of the first Andrade fight. People need to quit sweeping this crap under the carpet and forgetting when fraud is committed. Andrade deserves to have the IBF Belt in his trophy case when he retires and he was robbed. ------------ Froch does not win another super six fight. He did not win the Dirrell fight. He is very limited and will be in tooth and nail just to stay at the "Commonwealth Champion level" after he is exposed.
You're a newbie. Maybe that explains why you didn't read all the threads on that subject. That has not been swept under the carpet. I'll explain it one more time. At the end of the 12th round, when there is no time left, the boxer has only to clear his hands from the ring. As soon as he does it, the fight is over. I don't see any fraud in that. You can read the rules and all the threads on the subject. Of course, it takes more time.
You're right, it's not arguable. Miranda IS better than anyone Bute's fought. Is that better for you? And how many fights has Miranda had at 168? 2? 3? What the **** kind of analogy is that?
