    Kessler and Pavlik have should of accepted, Johnson got crazy low balled after being told he'd make pretty much 1 million more, I like Bute but that's messed up and I dont like seeing someone like Johnson getting his time wasted by ****ery of sorts.

    The ''he low-balled me'' excuse is the ducker's ultimate scapegoat. It breaks down like this:

    - All initiatives come from the Bute side;
    - It is not unusual in negotiation to ''low-ball''. Buyers just don't agree right away to the ask price. They first test the vendor who, in turn, will test the buyer and back and forth like that until all partie meet half way
    - Yet no conclusive report exists of counteroffers made to Bute. In other words, ''He low-balled-me'' is all they need to cease negotiations.

    I'd agree with that with 2 of the fighters mentioned but Johnson is no liar he says he got offered 1.3 something million and then 350K if that's true I can't blame him for not taking the fight.

    He possibly is.
    Bute hasnt got any massive name wins so no top fighter wants to be the first to be beaten by him, so it is hard for Bute to get other names to fight him until he has beaten one, if that makes sense

    I am a big Bute fan but that offer to Johnson was low.

    Bute never made near 2 millions for one fight in his career.

    I've just got off the phone with Sauerland and they turned down my offer of £7 to fight Kessler in my back garden.

    I'm the most feared man in boxing.

    Yes, because Glenn Johnson with his 15 losses and willingness to fight anywhere would duck Bute.

    Don't think there is any point in auguing over figures we don't know.
    In unclear situations like this it is best to look at past form - Johnson, Kessler and to a lesser extent Pavlik all have past form of travelling to meet tough opponants / Champions.

    Bute does not.

    So I wonder who is likely the stumbling block?
