Well Charlo was covering up, Charlo has big long arms, so it's not easy to land clean head shots on this dude. Canelo did land a lot of scoring upper arm shots though, as usual. You're right that he didn't feint Charlo, but he did give him a lot of head movement, and did a great job of cutting off the ring, and trapping Mell on the ropes. It was a great performance by Canelo, amazingly he stood between rounds throughout the entire fight, and still looked fresh as a cucumber after the 12 rounds. This was the kind of performance Canelo needed, to remind everyone that he's the best.

Canelo per se has pretty bad stamina for a top fighter, but when he dictates the pace he doesnt fade as usual.

Serious question. The great champ (rip) Johnny Tapia was known as a offensive wizard. The only difference was that he peppered with about 12 to 15 shots in a row consecutively. While Canelo is more of a pot shotting brute who throws hybrids if punches you don't even know where they are going or coming from. Great divvy up on his volleys. Go lo lo lo then all of a sudden HI, that's how he scored the KD in the 7th.

Btw I predicted a ko for Canelo in 7-9 rounds. Charlo was game but imo el Canelo is an offensive genius (with a granite chin). Props to his legwork too, cutting off that ring like a sniper
