Page he took from ODLH, refusing to weigh in fight night. Usually the sign of someone who wants to hide something.

been saying for years that Canelo has always been fighting as a super middle middleweight, looked like a smack addict on the scales at 154,goodness knows he did it?how much he rehydrated is anyone’s guess since he avoided the scales on the night.
Sure it’s lame as it’s the usual A side BS but worse still it’s done to handicap his opponent.

In general I support rehydration clauses as the entire process of weight cutting is just asking for trouble. I'm fed up of watching weight drained shells looking like zombies and risking serious injury or even death in the process. So although there's hypocrisy here, I think boxing should embrace these clauses across the board as the IBF I think have?

As far as I know, the IBF is the only org that enforces a rehydration clause. But it really needs to be a universal rule across all ABC's.

    Yes.
Because it shouldn't be on the fighters to fix weight classes, and Canelo is obviously doing this for an advantage.

They are bitches, Canelo wants Jacobs weakened...it's like that scene from Gladiator when they first poisoned him and stabbed him only then would Commodus fight him

I don't like same day weigh-ins or rehydration clauses. As far as I'm concerned, if you make weight on Friday you should be able to fight on Saturday and put on as much weight as you want. However lets be clear that it is Jacobs title (the IBF) that mandates same day weigh-ins. And in Jacobs last fight where he won the title, there was a same day weigh-in / rehydration limit. Further, when Jacobs fought Golovkin he skipped the same day IBF weigh-in and many GGG fans were upset about that.

Apparently after Jacobs GGG, the IBF abolished same-day weigh-ins for unification bouts since GGG, but I also recall Jim Lampley stating in the Canelo GGG rematch that there would be new rules in 2019 making same day weigh-ins and rehydration limits a standard in boxing.

So I'm not really sure what the overall situation is regarding same day weigh-ins in boxing, but given the IBF's history of same day weigh-ins, and the fact that a same day weigh-in / rehydration limit occurred in Jacobs last fight when he won the IBF title, I don't know how this is assumed to be a Canelo demand. According to the IBF's new rules, Canelo doesn't need a rehydration limit / same day weigh-in to win the title, and many have said in the past that Canelo puts on a lot of weight after making the weigh-in. In fairness many have said the same thing about Jacobs and given that Jacobs didn't do the same day weigh-in against GGG, having one here isn't something that clearly is going to be an advantage for Canelo. If I had to guess though, is that the rehydration limit may reduce the chances of a knockout, and we know that Canelo is the bigger puncher.
