The Virchis fight was utter **** and could have gone either way, I give you that. As far as I recall they claimed to be close friends, plus someone close to one of them had died just a few days before the fight.

As for the other two: have you even seen them? The Latino judge who barely awarded the fight to Ruiz by one point must have been the only guy in the whole universe to do so that day, Chag clearly won.

"Eeked out"??? More like, gave away the first two rounds and cruised to victory in the last two because he had dominated the rest of the match. Even Sauerland, Valuev's own promoter, regarded Chagaev the winner.

His mother was dying. He didn't sleep in the night before this fight took place. Not the best preparation for a fight.

Klitschko says he would fight Chagaev. So, we will see what happens. It appears he would like to either fight Valuev or Chagev after recent develoments.

IBF/WBO/IBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko has sided with Ruslan Chagaev in regard to the cancellation of last Saturday’s WVA heavyweight title showdown against Nikolai Valuev in Helsinki, Finland. “What a farce,” said Wlad to BILD from his training camp in Austria. “I’d have consulted the German doctors. They would have confirmed that no infection danger exists, then I would have fought Ruslan Chagaev immediately. To me what’s one more vaccination? That’s all there is to it. Today it’s no longer a problem.

No Chagaev has done nothing to earn a top 10. He sucks and all he does is pull out of fights. I hope he never fights again. He has hiv and theres a rumor he is gay.

Chagaev is fighting the #1 Heavyweight in the World. Valuev is a joke, the whole pulling out of fighting Chagaev was a fraud to get a free belt. With a Hepatitis shot the odds of contracting the disease is close to none.

Chagaev's career is not over, but his fights will only be held in countries that don't ban fighters who have the antigen in their blood. That pretty much limits Chagaev to Germany and Austria.

That Chagaev is limited to Germany and Austria is nothing new. As long ago as 2003, Chagaev was denied permission to fight in Australia because his blood contained the antigen.

The Finnish authorities knew all along that Chagaev was infected. I wonder why they didn't take action earlier.
