As good as Amir was, Collazo is barely a top 10 fighter. Time to relax methinks.

Not a top 10 welter weight but better than anybody Kell Brook has ever fought in my opinion. I have never been a big fan of Amir Khan but credit where it is due he got a good win last night and performed well.

Why is it not possible to talk about Khan without mentioning Brook?

Do you really believe that Billy?

Imo Collazo was a good win for Khan at WW but beating Victor Ortiz doesn't make you a top 10 Welterweight and i believe that both Frankie Gavin and Kell Brook would beat Collazo with ease.

Collazo is a fringe world level fighter that can beat you if he is taken lightly or you get reckless!! I'm not the biggest Amir Khan fan but last night he stuck to his gameplan and showed a certain amount of maturity when before he would get dragged into a fight and possibly get bombed out.

To answer the question posed by the opening post Imo Collazo is NOT a top 10 WW.

Billy can you see Ricky turning his career around in the same way Amir seems to have?

Like Peterson and Garcia fights Burns had a couple of disastarious nights againts Beltran and Crawford but has changed camps and now seems to be revitalised a little?

I'm seeing #8 with WBC and #2 with WBA (Not sure if that's just since the Khan fight).

Anyway, Collazo was a decent opponent considering it was Khans 1st fight at WW, he hasn't fought in a long time and he didn't look great in his most recent fights.
If anyone is getting excited it's probably because it was an improvement compared to his recent performances and Khan was looking more like he did in his prime.

It's pretty much the same on brook threads as well.

Out of interest did you not think that was a good performance ?
