Thurman not big enough name yet
    Khan fighting a bum
    Pac lost too wide
    Brook not big enough name

First fight was good and competitive and Mayweather can add Middleweight title to his resume.

Nope. He had to sign with Canelo to get his fight with Geale @157 on HBO, so he's off the market.

If Cotto doesn't fight Golovkin after the Geale fight he will be stripped

I am not so sure about that arraignment as a Mayweather-Cotto fight would be on Showtime he doesn't have to do what HBO says. Will be interesting to see what happens.

I guess if he breaches that contract he's in deep doodoo
Pretty clear he doesn't. But maybe they're paying GGG massive step aside money.

I think you'll see more fighters with names not worrying about belts anymore. Step aside money is a thing of the past. Belts are only good for people coming up in ranks. Cotto w/ or w/o belt gets the same PPV.

Well he did twice as well as Pacquiao, he is the middle weight champ (had the ***** to take on Maravilla with obvious knee troubles) and has 'redeemed' himself from the Mayweather and Trout losses. He has that belt to offer Floyd, he is a huge name, he probably irritated Floyd giving him a competitive fight and after Pacquiao, this is a name that will bring in people still. It would be a better win than anyone else out there except Golovkin. Brook and Thurman need another win or 2. Floyd's fought Canelo already who was the biggest threat out of the young hungry lions. Khan is an intriguing match up but we just saw speed doesn't kill if you can't use it intelligently.

I have a feeling we will see Mayweather fight Danny Garcia in September.

Like it or not Mayweather has earned the right to leave the sport how he wants now.

Floyd away from home vs Cotto @MSG for the WBC middleweight title

IMO a perfect finish to Floyd's career and cement his legacy even further

    pretty much

he CLEARLY beat his biggest rival (albeit when both men had aged a bit) after years of accusations of ducking and dodging

he'll probably take an easy farewell fight in September

I'm pretty sure Cotto is the WBC champion at 160 lbs.

The WBC has a love affair with FLoyd Mayweather. I'm sure they would figure out some kind of loophole to make that fight happen for the WBC championship if that's the fight FLoyd wants.

The guy really does call all his shots now, and I'm sure he could figure out a way to get that match made for the lineal championship if that's what he desires.

Canelo Alvarez would be the best low risk-hight reward fight there is.
They would possibly outdo the first fight.

 Already with the ***** excuses of why he won't
face a truly dangerous fighter while in their primes.
Typical throughout Maypickers whole career, and why
he'll never be revered as an ATG.

KHAN please, I don't want to see Kneeguel Kneetto get beat again, we already know Roach can't devise a plan to beat Floyd whats the point.
