    No kidding, right.

"Bernard Hopkins is a true champion, I take my hat off to him. To be 48-years-old and to be world champion...that's not for me. I got five fights
and then I'm through with the sport. Bernard Hopkins is a legend and a future hall-of-famer and hopefully one day I can get into the hall of fame," Mayweather said.

    :patsch

man is 36..do you think he wants to fight till he is 41 or something? commonsense seems to not be so common

Don't rush the Canelo fight, it can easily be made and promoted to it's fullest in May 2014.

He has 5 fights left, he's not going to stall till he's 40. I'm expecting him to fight twice each year and retire at 38.

Canelo is the fight everybody wants to see and that Floyd needs to fight until.........

...it gets signed, than Canelo becomes a green 23 year old with only one proven win, and he got a gift in it, and he's never been special, and he has horrible stamina, and he stands no chance stylistically, and Floyd cherry picked him after a tough battle, and maybe even claims of Canelo being drained or something like that.

From the best option available to a cherry pick over night, it would become to many. They must get the discrediting lined up...

If he fights again on Sept. 15th, against Canelo, then he would be fighting an opponent who ppl on ESB are claiming has the greatest chance of beating him (and at a weight he's uncomfortable at) within 4 months. Seems unlikely but I'm sure we'll find out soon enough bc they'll need to start promoting it.

If he can simultaneously rule the ww and lmw divisions for the next 5 fights I'd be amazed.

    Canelo
    Bradley
    Trout
    Alexander
    Martinez

Can he do it? I'd favour him individually over anyone below mw but to run through a gauntlet would be incredible. I just hope he doesn't waste any fights.

    Canelo - Good fight
Bradley - Hell never be the same after his last fight
Trout - Why? No belt, No money
Alexander - Possibly a good match up
Martinez - Hell retire this year IMO. ANother injury and will be 39 soon.
