Coz Floyd is superman and the rules of old age will never catch up with him right? he can afford to sit around watch a guy fight regularly while he stays inactive waiting for this guy to show signs of decline then he can come back and attempt to beat his ass right? :patsch:patsch

    Just stop.

so tell me who slows down faster? a guy who fights regularly but is always on a war or a guy who doesn't fight regularly, is a safety first fighter and is a gym rat? clue: they both are gaining age at the same rate just the other one is sustaining damage while the other one is not.

Yes, I'm inclined to think he is. He's a master of taking and avoiding fights at the right time. The last time his division was red-hot with competition, he went into retirement and waited for all his rivals to wipe each other out.

chances are, pac would slow down more rapidly because of the details i just posted. age would slow down floyd but age + ring wars will slow and degrade pac even faster.

What's strategic about it? Floyd is a coward and will wait for Manny to retire and only then call him out claiming that he sent Manny into retirement........

Floyd is the older of the two and Floyd relies on his reflexes a LOT more then Pacquiao and with age your reflexes are amongst the first attributes to start declining.

His ring IQ and lifestyle in regards to the way he takes care of his body is now going to be used as a point of reasoning? if Mayweather has an advantage over Pacquiao because he takes care of himself inbetween fights then he deserves the advantage, remember most of the work for big fights is done in the gym before fight night.

Trying to defend the 'he's waiting for Pacquiao to show signs of decline' argument is pathetic and any real boxing fan should feel ashamed for even backing it up.

Mayweather will slow down first before Pacquiao does. Floyd is just scared and would never in his dream fight Pac.

    No, But IF he is...
Bad mistake even if Pac slows down he still hits hard enough to command respect.
Now apply this to Floyd, Once the speed is completely gone that's GAME & SET.
(IMO, this is exactly what is happening to Mayweather right now)

ring wars? KOing hatton in the second....cotto on his bike....clottey forgot he could punch back....and margo's slow ass barely hit him....pac's avoided any actual wars in the last several years

This also, the real wars he had were with Morales and Marquez. His last few fights have been executions more then wars.

i already covered this up with pac being the older of the two based on ring age. also floyd doesn't rely more on reflex than pacquiao. floyd is touted to be more of the skilled boxer of the two so it was pacquiao who is using more of his physical assets like reflex and speed.

floyd waiting for pac to decline was made in reference to pac taking fights and being wear and teared inside the ring much more than their actual age. but if you insist about the age angle like most floyd fans do, floyd is actually older by less than 2 years only and pac was actually 2 years older based on ring age.

sadly for you (floyd fans) guys who haven't seen pac fight before hatton, pac has been in wars with the 3 greatest mexican fighters of our time. and for those who haven't seen pac before barrera, he's been in much brutal fights back in 122, 112 and his teenage years.

also, even if those figths with cotto, clottey and margo was too way one-sided, pac did got ample amounts of damage in those fights. busted eardrum in the cotto fight, swollen face and hands in the clottey fight and battered body in the margo fight. these damages would slow and wear down fighters as they age and continue to fight.

floyd is knowned as the more skilled boxer of the two. so both without their reflex, who do you think will win?
